Today I'm wearing my red skirt. I didn't feel like wearing heels, so I decided for a pointy flat.
First comment of the day: that skirt is awful!
Second comment: Today you look like an old lady with that skirt!
oh boy .. and it's only 9:27 am..
I won't let bad comments ruin my day, I blame people at work that don't know what's trendy eh eh

I went back and saw the red zara skirt and loved it, but would die to see the speciffic outfit:-). Can you post a pictie?

OK, so you either work with teenagers or brain-dead people (and the two might just be one and the same!). Sometimes a snappy comeback works - like if it's teenagers ("That skirt is awful"), I'd say, "And so are your grades." But if it's adults, I'd probably just say, "You may not have meant to, but you've just hurt my feelings."
Try not to let it ruin your day. Treat yourself to something delicious at lunch time!

I can't believe how mean spirited some people can be...Have they not heard of karma?...I would look them right in the eye and smile, "Bless your heart..you were so kind to notice."...Don't ever,ever let them see you sweat...

I think that skirt was a beauty on you. I think they just aren't used to seeing the silhouette and are projecting their own biases.

I'm sorry to hear about the rude comments. I have this at work often myself. Whenever I wear anything outside of the norm in my office, I get comments. I just shrug them off. I dress for me to be happy, not to make others happy.
