Another one of my color combo crushes. I just love how this combination works well for the fall.

I've decided it it's worth driving on the nights that I have class because the cost of the train and the cost of parking are relatively equal. The only drawback is I have to be prepared for a walk across down town (hence the flats today).

I originally wore this oufit on an assignment about 10 days ago and the folks there thought I was "dressed up" so I thought it would be perfectly fine to wear to class. I also realized that wearing boot cut trousers do not have the same jarring effect on me as wearing boot cut jeans (why that is I don't know).

I am wearing:
GAP boot cut trousers
Old Navy striped tee
Enzo Angiolini color blocked point-toe flats
Vintage fuchsia sweater

I think it's because the boot cut trousers have more drape and fluidity -- as per Angie's recent comments on the blog. And they don't look as stiff. You look gorgeous in pink! (Well, is there any colour you don't look gorgeous in? I doubt it.)

"Gorgeous in pink" came to my mind too looking at your photos. I love this pink with navy! The white in the tee really makes it pop, and your feet look cute in those flats.

I must have missed the thread on the bootcut jeans. I love these trousers for you and I know I have said it tons before but bold bright colours were designed for you. This hot pink is not exception- you look fantastic. Perfect outfit for class, although I suspect you were still on the upper end of dressed up

Love the combination The particular shade of pink is modern, ladylike and grownup. I don't think I've seen those shoes before. Are they newish?

Finally, I have a moment to respond!

Suz - you are absolutely correct -- they aren't as stiff and they drape that's the reason why these don't feel "off" to me.

Ceit - thank you! I don't do soft pink so well. I think you're on to something because a strong pink works well for me.

Joy - I agree the white is the element that really makes it work. I think the look would be kind of flat with out the white.

Glory - I have to agree. Soft color combinations aren't my element. I wear them but I feel most like myself when I am wearing at least one bright color.

TraceyLiz - I can't wait to see. I'm still trying to copy that green and yellow outfit you did.

Thistle - Ah, that bit of French sophistication. I think you're right stripes are easy that way and seem to elevate any look for that reason.

Lyn - I am sure you'll do the colors but I know you'll sneak a whimsy print in there somewhere (cats, owls, birds, dots, butterflies, fish, etc.). You wouldn't be you without it.

Beth Ann - yep, they are newish. I got them earlier this year right before I started studying for the bar. I loved these because of the fuchsia and blue(the suede part) but there is a patent leather strip of forest green in there for extra zip!

Oh my goodness, is it the pink sweater that makes you look even more radiant than usual? You look so very pretty!

Una - Covergirl color match in N8. It's the only make up that doesn't make me look orange in pictures.

I love this color combo on you (but then I love every color combo on you)! I am heading out to the Gap today, I will have to check out their boot cut trousers vs. their boot cut jeans.

Karie -- I got these trousers from GAP maybe 3 years ago. If you find a pair let me know. I was always sorry I did not buy an extra pair.
