Natural looking mascara for fair lashes?

Do any of you Fabbers have recommendations for a natural looking mascara for very blond lashes. Mine are short, fine, and blond (really can't see them without mascara). I sometimes have them tainted, which i love, but only when I'm going on a vacation - it doesn't last that long.

I hate clumping and find a tiny brush is helpful.

You can dye your own lashes, which I have been doing for 20 years. Try light brown mascara from Benefits.

Thanks Angie - I'll look into the Benefit! I actually bought some of the lash/brow dye (Refectocil) a while ago, but have trouble getting a deep dark lasting color doing it myself.

When you dye your own lashes, what brand of tint do you use? Do you apply like mascara? What brush do you use? Do each eye seperately? Do you use the eye shields to prevent dying skin around lashes

I can't figure out how to do the tops of my upper lashes the way the esthetician does it (with my eyes closed). Your technique and tips would be much appreciated.

I use Clinique Naturally Glossy in jet brown. My lashes are almost invisible, and this mascara is darker than I'd like, but it's the lightest I've found in a brand that doesn't irritate my eyes. Recently I've just decided to embrace the invisible lash look.

I should try Angie's Benefit suggestion! Which one is it, specifically? I just noticed their They're Real tinted primer that looks like a light brown:

I use Origins Fringe Benefits mascara in brown most of the time. It's a fairly dark brown and doesn't smudge on me and I can easily wash it off in the shower (it's not waterproof).

The Benefits primer is tinted and is a light brown. I think it is called They're Real. You could wear it as a mascara. I don't because it is too light for me but it might work for you. The Benefits They're Real mascara in Brown is a Soft Brown. It was too light for me but perhaps just what you are looking for.

Clinique has a brown tube mascara that I like sometimes. But only the tips of my eyelashes are light

I have the same lashes as you describe, and like to use Blinc because it doesn't run and it's easy to remove. It is also quite natural looking, as it doesn't "cake" or lump.

When applying the product, I find I have to go over and over to get all the lashes tinted.

Using a primer helps too.

Lately I have found my old favorite brands such as Diorshow and Lancôme all run after a couple of hour of wear, which didn't happen before (new tubes).

Anyone noticed this too?

I like the colors from Just for Redheads. Like Greyscale, my lashes and eyebrows are nearly invisible and I don't like a ton of contrast.

I cannot wait to try this new for me look. As a light eyed (I have some blue, green, grey and yellows on my iris, too:-)) blonde wore brown (mascara and pencil) most of my adult life and only few years ago, when got my black statement specs started to use the black mascara (with a glimmer blue eye pencil) and worked unexpectedly good. Now, ready for a change (or tweak) perhaps purple or ink to try.

And if anyone tints their own lashes at home, I would welcome tips and tricks. I've do it occasional at the salon when I'm going on an active vacation, but it is a pain to schedule. I'd love to have success doing it at home,
