I love both dresses on you...you look smashing and your knees are very pretty. The skirt under dress is genius. It looks great both ways. At first I thought you wore the shift on top of the black sheath dress! You must keep both! You have such a great eye for flattering prints and colors.

Gorgeous dresses! Your knees are very pretty and worthy of showing off.

Sorry not to get back to this thread last night, but thank you everyone else who took the time to comment!

Firecracker, CocoLion, Beth Ann --
A thumbs-up from such a trio that demands practicality + style in their clothing means a lot! Though CL you're way too extravagant with the compliments. I can already tell these'll get more wear than the cargo pants I bought a few years ago, struggle to style, yet can't seem to pass on yet. Simple is better for me!

Tulle --
Funny, I thought of that movie too when I put that black one on. I'm sure glad A Hepburn isn't the only pop culture role model for the LBD!

Brooklyn --
Please share your dress over skirt stylings...love what I've caught of your outfits so far (even if our seasonal inversion means I need an ice-filled glass to look at your current ones!)

Suzie, Jeanie, Beth -- Extra thanks for the knee love; I have to work pretty hard for them (and the rest) but bonus is that my ancient knee health issues are improving! Beth, 40 legs sound good to me -- sets to switch out.

BTW Beth, the print is the item I was thinking of in your moto thread when I said I was comparing 2 sizes of something...in the end went with the one slimmer through arms/torso.

Nadya --
As another big dress or skirt wearer, you know how fun it is to add stuff that's practical yet special! And yes on the simple ponte dresses -- a colorblock one NAS a few years ago is in pretty heavy rotation and starting to look it. Feel a little bad the younger model's lined up.

Goldenpig -- I think this style would work really well on you, too -- can't remember if you've worn something like it -- slim arms + not too much volume + ability to wear as a more open V.

Stunning pieces, Vix. So flattering and Classic. That silk DVF number is going to be a "star" in your wardrobe and the neck sheath fits like a dream and will be a workhorse. Well done!
