My final NAS purchases arrived on Friday, and I finally had a chance to try everything. (Please excuse the wet hair; I spent 5 hours cleaning up the jungle that had become our yard, and had just gotten cleaned up from that.)

First up, Sanctuary Rowen military jacket (pics 1-2). Inspired by one of Inge's fashion blogger posts, as well as Angie's utilitarian and utility pretty outfit ideas, I've been hoping to add a few utility pieces. The utility pants that I tried from NAS didn't fit in the rise, and then this jacket/topper caught my eye. Would love to have thoughts on fit (should I try a size up?) as well as styling ideas other than wearing it with denim. I'm leaning towards keep, but doing an extensive styling session, and if I don't wear it by mid-October, then returning. (I like it, and I like evolving my style, but, I'm also realistic that if I'm not careful, items can become orphans.) Thoughts?

Nic & Zoe tipped cardigan (pics 3-4): I followed Angie's advice, and sized down to a XS in this one. (I had tried on a medium at my local store.) I like the neater, trim fit of sizing down. Was very close to cutting the tags, and taking this on a flight last week, so I'm thinking it's a keeper. I love the color, and it replaces a similar navy cardigan that met too early a demise.

Halogen ribbed sweater (pics 5-6): Surprised myself, and got the stripe (rather than black) in a S, because I'll generally have a layer over it. The sleeves are a bit long, as others have noted, but I'm fine with scrunching them. Keeping, because the pink in the stripe is a perfect match to my Angie twin Scotch & Soda chore jacket, and because, I sing in a choir, and I actually need more tops like this to wear under my robe.

Gratuitous picture of the red Avec les Filles double-breasted coat, because it makes me happy!

I also picked up some sunglasses (thanks to everyone who voted in my earlier thread) and some Zella joggers, both much needed. My last pair of sunglasses, purchased NAS 2015, has had four years of hard wear, and is showing its age, but it still took me a while to realize that it was OK to replace them. The joggers are a multi-purpose item for me- lounge wear, yard work, as well as actual gear activities.

Feeling like I've had a great NAS!
