Well, I came home to a pile of boxes and a smiling husband who thought the whole thing was quite amusing.
(Please pardon my photo -- took the redeye back from LA, and I am getting a desperately needed cut/color this afternoon. Not my best look from the neck up.)
I tried on everything quickly and here's where I came out.
Paul Green booties in cigar: Love these. Sized up 1/2 size (thanks, Angie!). Really really gorgeous color, perfect shape, perfect heel height, nice shaft and closeness at ankle. A bit of a hassle on/off because no zipper but sleek because of that. I am keeping these even though I was not looking for booties this year. I think these will be workhorses and may send some of my other boots out to pasture.
Helene Berman plaid vest: Really fun, nicely lined, very pretty. More statement-y than I usually do. DH and DD really like this. I am leaning towards keep but am trying to think about wears. It feels like a go-to piece for weekends in Sept-Oct outdoors, and then inside Nov-Dec. What do you think? Too much for me, or a worthwhile wild card?
Returning everything else:
DVF tie front top: Very pretty but too conservative, esp with a jacket.
Halogen tunic: Did not fit well on top (I'm too small and narrow) and to me, too long to be a tunic, and too short for a dress.
Leith tank: Very pretty but very cropped.
Just waiting for the R&B burgundy jeans to arrive.
And I am stalking the Halogen cropped flares, Vince t-neck, and the James Perse blazer.
