Almost literally - Metro down jacket and Blondo boots for a pic in July! Add to that a heavy sweater and jeans for fit.
The white sweater and jeans are for contrast with the black pieces.
1. Metro down jacket. The double breasted buttons and wool cutaway placket in front make it different that the typical puffer. It also covers the seat in back, which was on my wants list for a new coat. The drawbacks are that it is black, which I didn't necessarily want, and it is similar to my VC quilted coat (#2) from last year. Being down and shorter I do see it being worn on different occasions that the VC. I'm holding my arms to the side in one pic so you can see that there is actually some curve/definition to the jacket.
3. Closer shot of the Blondo boots. They are snug, though I am able to zip over a pair of straight leg jeans here. For reference, these are an 8.5 and I wear an 8 shoe. My calves are 15" and the boot information says 14". I don't typically tuck pants in boots, but wanted to be able to if the urge strikes.
4. Another shot of the boots.
I am also quite thrilled about the Wacoal bras that were included in the NAS. Exactly the style I wanted more of and never on sale around here, so I bought two!
And, may I add another thank you to you all. While editing the photos and seeing my face stare back at me, I nearly became a tad verklempt at the improvement after new specs and updated haircut. The chins aren't going anywhere and I'll never be anything close to a 'handsome' woman, but I sure feel as if I look better than I used to
So my questions are:
Do the boots look like 10# flour in a 5# bag?
Is that jacket flattering enough given its puffer genes?
I'm actually leaning toward keep for both the jacket and boots, unless someone points out something that I have completely missed. Or the general consesus is that these items just don't "get me".
I ask you to please feel free to comment and critique.
Thanks!
