Quick K/R Question: NAS (gasp, I know!)

Do we like these? It's my sole NAS purchase and I'm wanting to make sure they aren't too wrinkly at the ankle? I'm trekking to the mall this week in case I need to return.

Don't feel bad. I still have a pair of boots and a blazer I have to decide on from NAS. I returned most of what I bought, as I bought it on line. The boots are Cole Haan, so I feel like I should like them, but I'm not sure I do.

Your boots look fine in # 1, but it's hard to tell in # 2-3.. I think they might be a little wrinkly. I have a problem with that, too. Do you think you want to look around a little before you decide. DSW has a TON of. Pots right now..,

Cute as but if you question the wrinkles now, they will bug you when they are yours! I agree wth Dana keep looking should the right one pop out at you on the mall trip.

Perhaps I'd feel differently seeing them IRL or with a different outfit, but I'm honestly not loving these on you. The calf part seems more like a sock than a boot. I hate to say that though because I realize it could just be the lighting or that they are not photographing well.

Thanks, Makrame, Dana, jenanded, and Kim! The wrinkling isn’t as severe as some of the others I’ve tried, but I’m not sure that’s a good enough reason to keep them. These are definitely an investment for me and I want them to be as close to perfect as possible. Lately, I feel like I’m overly picky but now I see that you are seeing the same thing I am Thanks!

I don't like the wrinkling. There was someone else on the board who had the same wrinkling issue. I have seen others who didn't have the wrinkling problem.

Thanks, Ceit! AJ had some severe wrinkling going on as I recall. They were perfect on sarah. I thought my substantial calves would fill them out

I've had that wrinkling issue and returned the boots I'd bought (not these!). I have skinny calves and ankles, so it was worse for me.... I like them but once seen, the wrinkling can't be unseen, KWIM?

This wrinkling was the reason why I did not get them either and my ankles are opposite of skinny...

I had a really hard time seeing the wrinkling, but I think it is just my monitor. Are these the ones with leather bottoms and a stretchy fabric shaft? If so, I know exactly what you mean even without seeing it. In my search for the perfect boots last year, I tried on a lot of boots, including several with a stretchy fabric shaft. I have *ahem* ample, curvy calves. They wrinkled on me too. I sent them back because I didn't like the look. So even if I can't see it in the picture, if it is wrinkling like that, I'd take 'em back.

I would like them with pants or jeans tucked in. I actually like boots that are really tall. But sorry, not with the shorts or skirts.

Gosh, kelly, I don't get it - they do look a bit tall on you, but you're taller than me, aren't you?! I thought you were 5'4", and I'm 5'2". I'm going to have to try them on again this weekend. I don't have my pics any more from NAS

Perhaps I am blind, but I don't see the wrinkling as a problem at all. ALL boots have some creasing, wrinkling at the ankle because it is a moving joint. If the boots didn't have any wrinkles there, it would mean they had never moved. But that said, I am not terribly fond of these boots, and I think you can do better. The shaft looks odd on my screen - rather sock-like as Queen Mum said.

Is it your picture that makes that textured top look like a 'sock'? Are they they the same Blondo boot as sarah?

I think the little bit of kneecap height difference does make a difference. sarah's entire kneecap is well above the boot, whereas the bottom of your kneecap rests on the boot top or even disappears inside the boot shaft. You don't want them to go any lower though, or you'll end up with more ankle scrunch

Gah! Boot shopping is SO darn complicated!!

I'm with others, I don't mind the wrinkling, most of my boots do this. But these are a tad too tall, they look like they hit at the bottom of the kneecap.

@sarah: IDK what is up with these boots. I thought they would work because they are so fab on you and we are nearly the same height. You must have longer calves than me! The first pair I ordered were wonky--one side was 1" taller than the other side and one shaft was significantly larger than the other. These were the replacement boots. I guess waterproof boots will remain on my shopping list for awhile.
