I picked up my order today and a couple of things were eliminated in the fitting room at the Rack (I always try on when picking up so any immediate returns are super easy).
1. The Madewell sweater did nothing for me. Boxy and shapeless and not in a good way. No pics. Returned.
2. Madewell black and white dress — I threw this in my order and forgot I did. The fit was not right on me — too tight in the bust and more fitted than the stock photo would indicate. Sizing up would make it too big all over and too long in the torso. Neckline is very deep. No pics. Returned.
3. Vince burgundy top. Pics 1-5. I decided to bring it home to try, but I think it’s just too big and the fit isn’t what I want. The neckline is very low and doesn’t sit nicely. I think I need a mo casual style in this color, because the color is what I really wanted. Returning.
4. Halogen piped sleeveless top. Pics 6-7. I really like this. It’s a wear-now piece that I will enjoy for summer, and I think it will layer under a jacket well in the fall.
5. Socialite sleeveless dress. Pics 8-10. I tried it in a M and L. This is a L and it’s a little roomy but the M was quite fitted especially in the bust. I’d rather have ease in a dress like this. It’s a silky fabrication which I wasn’t quite expecting, but it’s pretty comfortable on. I’m considering keeping since summer dresses are an ongoing project for me. Any feedback??
6. Rails grey military jacket. Pics 11-14. This is a thick, substantial jacket! Quite heavy! Nicely made. It’s like a substantial sweatshirt material but with structure. I’m unsure what to do with the strings at the hem, but otherwise I’m quite liking it! I’ve been wanting to add a bit of grey for fall/winter and this is a nice meeting of casual and structure. Roomy enough to layer underneath. Considering keeping.
7. Wildcard non-NAS item that found its way into my cart. Pics 16-18On sale but not part of the NAS. It’s stocked as a jacket but easily works as a shirt too. By La Vie Style House. One size fits all. It’s super light weight and lovely for summer! I love the colors and the cropped length. Very likely a keeper!
