Well, that was a lot of fun! I ordered up a storm but was very picky about what I kept, my usual hard to please, don't settle self. I'm only on the fence about one wildcard, but I think I only have one toe left on the fence.
I went in with a wish list, made up of holes noticed last winter. My top wish was for lighter weight sweaters for our mild winter days. I liked the Halogen assym hem so much I kept it in pink and white. The VC Blouse will also fill that need for most of Fall and early Spring. I did cave on the Halogen cashmere...not a need, just a want, but I know it will get a lot of wear. My second wish was for a black pencil skirt to replace a dated and uncomfortable one...the Halogen below was an easy choice in black. I would have loved to go with Angie's pick of the CE skirt, but midi length doesn't look so great on me with my preferred type of top and lack of heels.
The scarf was a wonderful HEWI surprise, black and grey leopard when most of them are brown and yellow. Three year search, over! The EF pants are another HEWI, comfortable skinnies. That leaves the black and white skirt as a "keep for now" wildcard.
What I didn't find: a lightweight, casual but nice looking coat, a dress for an upcoming special occasion, the right long cardigan for me, and the perfect plain black, fine knit silk or some such blend, sweater.
Maybe next year I will go for special wish list splurges. This year was for "needs and holes" and I'm feeling so accomplished that I actually had a list and did well with it! Progress!
