NAS Catalog

Oh no, but oh, goody. My NAS Catalog has just arrived, and even though I looked at it in the link here on YFL, I want to spend rest of day looking at it.

But, I have quite a busy day and can not do that. But, I will find some time for it today and probably into the night!!

When I was a kid, I used to get out a sharpie and circle what I wanted when the JCPenney catalog came out. Maybe it's time to try that again with this one? Enjoy!

Gretchen, I go so far back it was the Sears, Roebuck catalog we got, and their Christmas wishbook was to die for. I don't think we had sharpies back then.

suntiger, you are a riot. I think if I saw Santa on his jet ski I would pitch the catalog aside and go after him!

You know, in addition to the Nordie's catalog is Angies's list when she goes into the B&M store. I eagerly await them also.

I buy a little less each year but do love following the NAS!

Joy, This is the first year in the last four that I don't have something selected to order the instant the sale starts. However, there is nothing I really need currently. We have fairly mild winters here in North Carolina and so many of the items seem to be for colder climates. Of course you do live in a much colder climate so you would probably find more treasures than I did this year. Coats are such pretty colors, and they do have cashmere sweaters.

I hope you receive your catalog soon. Even though I didn't see much for me this time, I was so antsy until I did get it, and would still be impatiently waiting for it.

I never receive a catalogue despite having a charge card I always have to call to get one. I called tonight and was told that they don't mail them anymore you can only pick up in the store or look on line !! Is this for real? I live an hour away from the store.

Gail- I tried to get one at my local store (store is in the ‘burbs, but of a huge urban area in the mid-Atlantic, so it’s a larger store), and was told that they didn’t have any. It did not seem that they’d run out, but that they’d never had any to hand out. A bit surprising. I haven’t gotten one in the mail for years, despite being a card holder.

Gail, Kathie. The plot thickens. This situation is so frustrating that it is funny to me. Thus your ratings.

I checked the catalog and it actually has my son's name on it at my address. Granted he lives next door to me and this has happened with other mail.

The kicker, he certainly does not have a charge with them and never orders or shops with them with one exception. About 5 years ago at Christmas he ordered a gift card for me, using another charge card.

bridgie- I'm smiling, because, I did get a catalog in my mailbox last year. Addressed to a man who lived at our place years before. But, it wasn't "my" catalog.

Just popped back into this thread. You are always so sweet to think of my son! This year has been a good one for him, I think. He was not doing well with pressures at home, so a year “off” where his only school subject was German has been good for him; I predict lots of success when school starts this fall. That is letting me relax & focus on my own stuff. A little “fashion” tidbit related to him: with the onset of summer, he’s been reminded of the nonstop heat half the year in Tampa. He doesn’t want it back, complains when temps approach 80, and the other day, when there was a “cold” snap in the 60s, he commented “I like this weather because you can wear clothes like this (touching his heavy shirt) and be a bit more fashionable”.

I hope are well and that you enjoy the weather where you are.

bj1111, since your post, Nadya has posted on this thread and given a link to the Nordies catalog on-line. Hope you have tried it and that it works for you. It does for me.

Janet, yes I like the catalog in hand, also. But, I still haven't heard of anyone who has received one in the mail, except me and it was addressed to my son at my address. He does not have a Nordies card and I do. I had it two days before I noticed it was actually addressed to him.

I still have not received my catalog although I have a Norfolk card. Our mail service here is horrible. We get mail for all sorts of other people and I suspect that they get ours. If it looks important we put it back out but much gets shredded. We often get mail for people who have the same house number on a different street as well as past owners of our house, our son in Tokyo, and some complete unknowns.

Umm...I got one...at least a week ago, maybe 2?

The photos are inspiring, but I don't really need much either right now. I LOVE what I bought last year (mainly I'm thinking of the 2 pairs of 1.State bootlets, one in black with gold hardware and one in gray suede with flat silver studs).

I have my eye on a small, fun handbag, but it's not in the sale. Still, I'll be watching in case YLFers unearth any unexpected tempting treasures!
