I did not get a catalog (LA area). Will be interesting to see if they make the same amount of money at the sale, not sending catalogs to so many. I was walking through the store yesterday and saw so many cute things for sale. Tons of boots and booties. Tons of beautiful coats. I live where it is hot most of the year so I won't be getting boots or coats, but they are gorgeous! I saw a super cute pair of Converse slip-ons that are lavender.

you have made me feel better...I have not received a catalog yet....and I'm kind of disgusted that they may not be sending me one. I buy mostly online now, but used to go 100 mi to the store. This will be the first year I have not received a catalog.....hmmmm...

Joy, Barbara Diane, and Joyce and Beth0707, sorry you did not get a catalog. I think cutting catalog mailings was a mistake for whoever was responsible. Beth, good for you making the best of a disappointment and going into the store to see everything first hand! Sound like they had most everything there.

SW Ann, glad you are feeling better. I certainly agree it is disgusting to not get the catalog. I got one by default only. It was addressed to my son at my address. I am repeating myself here, but guess that is ok since I know I am. I am a cardholder and use it a lot for on line shopping. He is not a cardholder and does not shop very much with them. He used another card to buy me a gift certificate about 5 years ago. When I lived in Florida, I went to the B&M store. But here in NC the store is about an hours drive and I haven't become comfortable driving in Charlotte yet. I wouldn't mind the hours driving, but would prefer to be more confident of the directions. Anyway, hope you enjoy the NAS.

Gee, I received my catalog WEEKS ago, and I don't normally receive their catalogs. But maybe it's because they said I'm an Ambassador? I find that level hard to believe unless they count all my purchases without subtracting my returns.

I did get a catalog the first week they went out, but it certainly wasn't aimed at me or my friends. Okay, a bra and panties, but I bought the same items last year. There have been years I didn't get a catalog though.

Nordstrom is going through some tough times. How do they keep their older and formerly loyal customers while attracting to the buyers who mainly shop online? I hope to have enough energy to go to a store on Friday, but who knows. I'm irritated that they don't show everything on sale to their tried and true customers.

FWIW, I am an ambassador and got a mailed invite to shop the 10-11th, but no catalog. I think I’ve only gotten one catalog mailed in the 7 or so years I’ve been a cardholder? The catalog is pretty but it has such a small fraction of what will be offered. I’ve often thought it was more of a way to entice new customers/cardholders than anything.
