I always thought my calves were chunky, but I guess not. I'm at 14" (and this is me, 10 pounds over my usual weight), and 6" ankles. (Seriously, I have small ankles?!?? This makes me almost deliriously happy-- I'm terrified of cankles!). I usually wear an 8.
I may start another thread, but most boots shafts seem to fit me fine-- neither very much "extra", and never too tight. BUT, I have been looking for a pair of knee-high flat brown boots and stumbled across a pair at DSW. These have been the ONLY boots to come even remotely close to what I'm looking for that weren't over $150 (yes, I'm cheap when it comes to shoes-- I'd rather have an incredible variety of awesome cheap shoes than only two pair of nice ones that last forever. Weird, I know).
Anyway, those boots (which I can't return now, anyway) are the ones that made me think maybe my calves are a bit narrow. =( They're pull-on boots, and I ADORE the style, but now I'm at a loss because I feel like they're clunky around my calves and I don't know what to do. Maybe I should just give up caring because I like them so much and wear them anyway. =(
All that to say . . . I wish I didn't have to part of this support group, but at least I feel like I'm in good company.
