Nanuska Styling Ideas? ETA 3 more pix

Long time lurker here, and I always appreciate the wonderful ideas from YLF. I bought the Nanuska faux leather shirt as my NAS splurge this year and am looking for styling ideas. Can it be semi tucked into jeans or is a full tuck better? Maybe with a skirt? Nordstrom shows it with the matching skirt but I think that may be too much (for me). It’s buttery soft and drapey plus the color is sublime. Looks to be sold out so I guess I’m lucky to have scored one.
ETA added photos: straight jeans, belt added, boot cuts (tucked) and black pants. ETAx2 more photos, with Angie’s suggestion (black pants) and over ecru straight leg jeans.

That is BEAUTIFUL. I would suspect you could wear it untucked or any rendition of tucked. It likely depends on the type of bottom you pair it with and what appeals to your eye. If it were me, I'd play in my closet and pair it with slim leg pants and leave it untucked. With straight legs, I think I'd try all ways to see what appeals. With bootcuts, I'd probably tuck or semi-tuck it to balance the look. And you can always belt it if that works with your shape. But again, that's just me. Try things in your closet and see what you like!

Ok, i had to go back to Nordstrom site to see what it looks like utucked…
I think you could do so much with this…
You could wear it open as a sort of jacket over column of color, or jeans and a tank top, or over a sleeveless jersey dress. Or if your wearing it as a shirt- skinny jeans, I’d probably wear it untucked or semi tucked. With wide legs I’d try tucking, but i totally think it could work untucked.

That is a beautiful piece. I like brown leather with a brown tweed or plaid. It would look sharp with white jeans or a white dress, too.

I love the look of this piece and would have been tempted for a lower price point or if it were real leather! I may stalk it to see if it turns back up on further sale later.

I’d style it simply, with denim. Depending on how heavy it is, I bet it could look really sharp tucked into wide leg or bootcut jeans with heeled boots. I love the idea of pairing it with tweed too — such a rich texture combination for fall! How about corduroy too? A skirt, for example? I’d try pairing it with deep charcoal but also maybe another plum or maroon color that is near-tonal with the color of the shirt. Or a patterned skirt or plaid trousers. Lots of options!

I own a faux leather shirt - and can't imagine being able to tuck it in - lol. I wear it belted (it came with a great trench-style self belt) over top Lululemon OTF joggers, CM cropped flared wool blend pants - anything without a fly or other stuff at the waistband. Mine is very lightweight, yet tucking it in would create a lot of bulk for me, anyways.

One of my petite clients styled this with fluid black pants, wore the shirt UNTUCKED, buttoned through, cuffed the cuffs back, and finished things off with dressy shoes and silver jewellery. She looked wonderful!

kkards, good ideas. I couldn't decide if the oversized look was correct with this shirt, but your examples seem to show it works.

bj1111, thanks for the link! I see that it was dated 2019, so i suppose that I'm just now coming around to it (but 2020 didn't count, did it?).

Joy, a textured tweed or plaid is an excellent suggestion! I couldn't bear to face a try-on in the heat, but will once it's cooler.

Janet, I think I saw a post from you where you were considering it--that caused me to pull the trigger as your ideas are always amazing!

lisa p, I would love to have a matching trench type belt but this shirt did not come with one...I belted it in one of the photos above but it's meh (on me). This shirt is very thin but still feels substantial, if that makes sense, so tucking seemed to work.

Oh, I think 2 is fantastic! My next favorite is 1. Not as crazy about it belted, but the open jacket-like treatment in 4 is really good too.

Love what you’ve shown, with the exception of the belted version, but i do think that would/could work with different jeans, for me the taper and the belt seem to “fight” each other. Maybe try belted with the jeans in #2?
I love how you’ve got the same shirt working on all levels of dressy to casual.

Jonesy, at first I was wary of untucking as the bottom is unfinished, but it's not raveling or anything so I suppose it's fine. I appreciate your thoughts about the booties, too.

kellygirl, I bought a denim skirt this year (after not wearing one since the, um, 90s) and will give that a try.
