Mac, let me just repeat my earlier comment: The dress looks GORGEOUS on YOU !! It's not just a good-looking dress--it looks really gorgeous on you. I hope you'll keep posting your looks for everyone to enjoy.

Yep, I could just tell that those shoes were pricey! They are so beautiful; they almost have a personality of their own, if that makes any sense. Hand-made shoes just look special.

That dress looks as if it were made to accentuate your charms (and those of the wedges, ha).

Agree with taking it up to kneecap or just above...though IIRC you are tall, and so could probably leave it as-is.

Beautiful dress and so flattering on you! More swooning over your new oxfords . . .

Mac, such great finds! I will sound like a broken record about that dress, I am afraid, but it does look great on you. I would shorten it though. I am about the same height as you and I thought I can wear longer dresses BUT shortening them made all the difference in the world!
I should learn how to shop in US from you. Care to open a school?:-)

Mac, that dress looks absolutely stunning on you! The belt is a perfect choice too. If I imagine it with the wedges I am just falling over. Those oxfords look gorgeous as well, but I agree about the length comments. Also I will just say again, I love the floors in your house.

you are lovely!
Those shoes are to die for!
portuguese slippers! Nice choice
he dress is lovely and so the oxfords, but don't like to see the two together, for that dress go for a different type of shoes!

Excellent. Slightly shortened dress with heels/ wedges it is, then. Thanks for the help, ladies. Will post photos of it again with other shoes... once it's been hemmed.

Mac, thanks again for describing your items! I love it! The dress sounds so very very you, and I hope it gives you a bit of a lift! Would it work with your new bracelet?
I'm sorry to hear you're still feeling lousy. *hugs*

Clearly this is not the way I'm going to style this dress, but the point of this thread is to just show you my "haul," and here's a dress that I'm very excited about. I'll always wear it with leggings or tights, and will be trying a variety of layering items on top (camisole, turtleneck, cardi, blazer, etc) to see how those look.

Michelle, it's a wrap dress that falls about 2 inches above my knee. The sleeves are mid-forearm length and the pattern is kind of wild: purple, blue, orange, cream and burgundy. It's stretchy polyester so is the sort of thing that should travel well, too.

(I just threw on some heels I had sitting nearby; they're not new)

Pretty dress! I'm drooling over your entire haul.

I like all the items shown, but so far the wrap dress is my favorite. Lovely on you, both colors and fit wise. I also really like the slippers, much nicer than the usual animal one's or the super duper fluffy one's I always see. I may have to try a pair of those, thanks for posting them.

Another fabulous dress! The fit is great and the pattern is really nice; it will look so perfect with tights and boots/booties (or wedges!).

SUCH a please to see you and your purchases. Love the wrap dress, love the oxfords... love it all! More Mac pics, pleaseee!

El-Cheapo dress from Target. So comfy... too short to wear without leggings: whatever will I do once leggings go out of fashion?!

And I think this is my final item: another wrap dress.

The wrap dress in the second pic looks really beautiful. The print is fab and it looks like it fits you really well. The first one looks okay, but not as over-the-top terrific as the other ones IMHO--you have set the bar so high with the others!

I MUST have that wrap dress! Send it my way, please? The print is so pretty. Where is it from?

Marianna - I think the second dress was from Macy's... it's by Jones New York and would look gorgeous on you.

Jonesy - I agree that the Target dress isn't the best ever but it's super-comfy and dead cheap and it's infinitely better than the other things that I usually wear to just schlump around the house or run to the grocery store so I'm still thrilled with it.

Mac, I want to emulate you this fall and acquire wrap dresses! Have you had local success or were all of these U.S. purchases?

My sis in law bought the JONES wrap dress while she was here. It is KILLER on her and on you, Mac! The colours and pattern are exquisite. Nice quality too.

Did you have fun shopping?

I luv the metallic leather wedges and both wrap dresses! You shopped well in the USA! It was fun to see your loot. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, AJ. I love 'em, too.

Angie - what a coincidence that your SIL and I both bought the same dress! I can't wait to find cool ways to wear it this autumn. I think its colouring is unusual and beautiful.

Wait wait, go back to the "wild" print dress, I love it I love it I love it! Looks so fab on you!!

Wow I love both those dresses. You are looking great Mac!!!

Mac you look great! That second dress is absolutely stunning. You must post WiW posts with you wearing this dress in the future. Pretty please and pinky promise?!

Mac I love the two wrap dresses you've added since I last peeked in here. The colors, prints, and cut are gorgeous on you.
