My U.O. order came - ikat pants keep/return?

First, I love the dress. It's staying.

I am glad to say the reviews about the pants running 2 sizes too small were wrong. These are snug, but by no means uncomfortably small for their size.

The pants I'm intrigued by. I know my BF will give me 'that' look. he he. I think I kind of love them. I would wear them more in a legging fashion, with longer tops, I think, though I'm not scared to show some ikat butt either lol. I'd also wear boots with them, but don't have any here in FL to try out.

I want to push myself a little but don't want to stray so far out of the comfort zone I feel self conscious.

i luff it! not sure if i would wear it with that particular dress--maybe one with much cooler tones. or maybe one of your leather jackets...don't you have one in blue?

Keep, fit looks great to me, and in black and white I think these are very wearable.

"Ikat butt" - lol!

You know how you see something on someone and you gasp a little because it is soooo perfect for that person? That's what that dress is IMO. It's in a colour palette you wear, it fits beautifully, and I can see it working with so many of your beautiful accessories. You are right to love it and keep it!

Now for the ikat skinnies - LOVE THEM!!! The fit looks great to me, as long as they are comfortable, they will tuck perfectly into boots, and I can see them being super versatile for you. I vote keep for those too.

BJ, I wish!! I have a crop blush moto and my Allsaints shearling lined that Rae sent me. I am a most recent acquirer of leather jackets.
I was hoping maybe some of my longer sweaters could go with these, and/or some hip length jackets, with boots. (once again, I have none of these items with me to try on . . . )
Wait, I do have the Costco faux equipment shirt from Una. (ignore my ridiculous expression! sheesh, it's like a 'make a double chin' contest I'm trying to win LOL)

Thanks Shannon! And to think the dress was an afterthought to make free shipping. I think I just have to convince 'the boy' that the pants are not crazy over the top.

Love them both on you. I would wear the pants with a simple tee & jacket - to let the pants be the centre of attention.

awesome with the black shirt. i don't know why, but i can see this with the alpine oversized cream cardi but will have to see if the white tones "blend".

why not try to pop the shearling over this?

well, lady, you accomplished your aim of pushing your edgy-ness quotient WAY up.

ps: if that's the best your double chin can do, then i've got you beat, chins (double) down.

I love it! Way to push your comfort zone. They look great with the black shirt, but I think they'll also be great as 'leggings'.

I LOVE that this dress was an afterthought for free shipping and it is so awesome for you just on its own!

But I especially love the pants. Those are perfect with the black shirt! You keep those babies and wear them to the ground!!!

I really like the pants and can picture them with shirts and sweaters. You could really have fun with them.

I love both pieces on you. I can see the ikat pants with a black tunic (maybe something shorter than the dress), or a red or cobalt blue one. These pants will look fantastic with heels as well. But they're super cute with those flats too, to go more casual.

The dress is great as a dress with sandals for your still warm climate. Or, you can go with real leggings and boots. Bottom line, I would wear a simpler top with the ikat.

Denise, I was already thinking of Una's cobalt cowl sweater with these and some boots I'm a little scared of pairing with red, beyond maybe a small accessory. Somehow black and white with red always reminds me of early 80's and Nagel prints (might be from a roomie I had who was obsessed with decorating that way back then lol).

Love the dress Mo! The pants I'm on the fence about - I love the brocade styles I've seen and some of the other subtle patterned pants, but I'm not sure about the bold ikat black and white pattern.

I'm thinking that I am really jealous of your great figure. But that's off-topic, so, I would definitely keep the pants. They look FAB on you (and that's the point, right?) and I'd try them with a slightly longer than hip length burgundy/oxblood silk blouse like this: http://www.equipmentfr.com/clo.....abrb-solid
OR slightly longer white tee with a just to the hipbone denim jacket and metallic peep toe sandals or gold oxfords. OR a sweater with color, once again, burgundy/oxblood is the "color of the moment", so I'd try one like this: http://us.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2376513 (covers the butt,not that you have to!)and pair them with a gold-ish peep-toe heel or bootie. To toughen it up a bit, try a tee in a color and that leather jacket that someone mentioned, with a black bootie. CUTE!

Angie, it's listed as a dress, but as you know, the lengths are sometimes a bit short of ideal! I would likely wear it with leggings or tights in winter. I *might* try it here in FL with gladiator sandals and bare legs but not in Tahoe.

I think we live in the same comfort zone, but I do think you could show of Ikat butt and pull it off quite fashionably. I'll find the right pair of printed skinnies before I join you.

LOVE the pants! I adore ikat (but somehow don't own any) and I love how graphic and sharp it looks in black and white. In pic #6 part of the print looks like a screaming skull with rays shooting out of its mouth or something (which I like), LOL.
