My turn: Layered shirt tail

I haven't taken the tags off the sweater and am going to leave the house shortly to take my foster baby to meet her new parents (waaah!) The "cropped" sweater was part of my AT sale order. I think it is JFE and I like it with the low contrast shirt tails. What say you? Am I going to have to go to the mall and make a return?

These poncho styles seem to work really well for you - I like this a lot. The black shirt and black boots give it a bit of edge, and the curved hems on the top make for a really long leg line.

I had the same response as Texstyle--it has a poncho effect, and I really like it on you. I agree with Sharon that ponchos look fab on you, and same with this sweater. I like the color, too. Keep! Aww, you'll miss your little foster pup, won't you?

You nailed it. Low colour contrast between the top two layers combined with a high contrast bottom piece. That's a more flop proof way to wear this combination. And extra outfit cohesion with the bookended hair and boots. Nicely done.

I didn't read any replies and my immediate thought was yes, a really nice effect and it works to my eye. I see everyone else is in agreement You look great!

Thanks, Fabbers! I see what you mean about the poncho effect. I didn't notice until you pointed it out. It's even better than a poncho since it has bracelet length sleeves and they don't get in the way.

Thanks for the analysis, Angie! It's so clear when you break it down like that. Me, I just either like it or think it looks weird. Wish I was more analytical!

Turns out my little foster came back home with me. The potential adopters got cold feet about committing to a dog. Oh well, get to enjoy her a little longer. My family is going to be extra happy tonight!
