This is my take on tiered skirts: I like their swoosh and bohemian vibe. But I don’t like a straight hem/horizontal lines and volume around the hips. I’m not wild about lots of ruffles either. Too romantic for me.

I have one tiered skirt that I bought in early winter. The teal dark floral pattern spoke to me. Also the asymmetrical hem (which is unusual for this style). It’s not super ruffled, which is good. But it does have some volume, including around the hips. I try to balance that out with a fitted top.

Outfit 1: I wore this today.
Outfit 2: I’ve posted this previously.

What I like about this skirt is that when I pull it on with my tights, tall flat boots, and a sweater (the teal one is a delicious cotton silk blend), I feel good. Casual, comfy, cozy, swishy and stompy.

So I’m on team “it depends” when it come to tiers How about you?
