delurked, I think we're not alone in appreciating boots in warmer climates. I swear you could pinpoint October in SoCal by all the boots coming out, no matter the actual temperature.
nemosmom, #4 is the Naadam, #2 is Elizabeth Suzann, and #3 is Johnny Was. Including some Finds here, since I neglected them in the original post.
Janet, I've tried it with some other dresses I've owned and it hasn't worked nearly as well. I think just any button-down dress won't do, but I couldn't tell you what does make it work...maybe a more substantial fabric?
suntiger, that duster is the single most expensive piece in my wardrobe. I treasure it.
Bijou, if we ever get to go out to dinner again, it's at the top of my outfit list.
kkards, I feel like it would be perfect for a day in an artsy mountain town.
Fashintern, I don't think we actually got the frost in the end, but better safe than sorry! Weather whiplash this week, but the cooler air is a huge relief. Would you believe I bought those boots as part of a costume for a theme party? I made a deal with myself at the time that I could get the nice ones if I promised to wear them a lot once the party was over and...boy howdy. One of my best purchases ever.
Star, it took me years to get to this point with my wardrobe, and I still get bored on occasion, so I'm sure the limited number of options in my closet would bore some people to death. It generally works for me, though, and it feels so good to have new pieces in regular rotation!
Minaminu, sadly, the jacket probably won't be with me much longer, The pleather is starting to flake at the back of the neck and crack at the elbows. I'll miss it when its gone.
slim cat, thank you! That embroidered sweater makes an outfit all by itself.
