Hear! Hear! And my word, that Smythe blazer is a little work of art.

P.S. I'm also loving the new feature:-)

I so agree about fit. Love the new feature too:)

PS - Angie, how would you say Smythe sizing runs compared to Theory? I am an extremely consistent size 10 in Theory (and an 8 in many other brands). I can't seem to find any Smythes in B&M stores around here to try on. I know they run small, but how small?

Your Smythe blazer is an excellent example of your statement of the season, Angie, and I see what you mean about the slightly more fluid cut moving in to this timeless tradition, as well.

I keep picturing a tropical-weight suit or jacket that fits impeccably in the shoulders and then closely skims the body in a smooth way.

It's fun using Greg's new feature, too!

I actually love tailored looks and that edgy/conservative look. But finding a tailored jacket that fits my shoulders and looks good everywhere else is like seeking a unicorn in a haystack!

Diana, Smythe runs similar to Theory (or Burberry!) - I am an 8 but if the fabric has no give I feel squeezed.

Thanks, Una. That's really helpful. I'm a 10 in Burberry too.

And here I thought Angie was going to be wearing my ronen chen flowy pants with an asymmetrical avant garde fluid top!

*Sorry- could not resist being the comedienne*

Fun new feature! .... Your statement to "Wear your clothes a little looser" for a miore modern look has been transformative for me. Love how you are explaining and relating this to classic tailored fits

Thanks for the thoughts - and laughs - ladies.

Diana, I find Smythe to run smaller than Theory. Size up at least one size - if not two. My Smythe is a 2 and I wear a 0 in Theory.

Gryffin, your take on late '90s style jackets is interesting. Definitely slimmer than the '80s jacket.

Wonderful use of the new feature :-)! I am absolutely certain you are right Angie but now I need to consider whether this actually applies to anything I wear.

This feature is great, I love it. Interesting discussion about blazers, which are rather exotic beings in my life.

I like blazers on others, but have never warmed up them on me. That said, I so agree with your being picky about fit. That is perhaps the single most important lesson that I have learned on my style journey. The pickier I have become about fit, the better it looks. Very simple.
