My olive puffers and black

I have a few olive coats and jackets, which I often wear with black. These two outfits contain olive-grey and olive green puffers.
The first one is a thinner olive grey puffer jacket (Geox), more a transitional one, worn this autumn with new faux leather pants and loafers.
The second picture is fall 2019, a thick very warm olive green puffer (Escada) with black trousers and semi-glossy black boots. I will wear the exact same outfit again this winter.

Ooh, I'm so sorry I have been so busy and mentally elsewhere the last weeks, while you and the rest of the fabbers have been dropping SO MANY GREAT LOOKS on here!

The last puffer WOWED me the last time you showed it here. So modern. So current and flattering and dramatic. And authentically you! Love love love it.

These look so glam on you, of course, because you’ve got that touch. The different “shape” of the stitching in the first makes a real difference. And this is the second time this week that you’ve mentioned Escada. They aren’t really on my radar, aside from the clearance sale in that store in Friedrichstraße. Maybe I should pay more attention to them.

SF - I have been collecting Escada items for years - I just love the bold colours and the style (whatever the style is)…. The brand was in trouble a few times, but managed to somehow survive (several acquisitions). The quality of the clothing was continuously very good - I have had very few items that were less than perfect. I am afraid Escada has gone under now, though. They declared insolvency about a year ago, I think? And the shops in Germany have shut down? Do you know how it is in Berlin? Is there anything left? Anyway, the prices have been high and I shopped a lot in outlets or discounts etc. Some pieces in auctions (new condition with tags). If you like the style - I recommend you to try to get some items that might be left to get online or in outlets. Personally, I am quite sad that my all time favorite brand might disappear…

Wow, those puffers are marvellous and look great on you. I can't get over the channelling (is that what you call it?) on the first one in particular. That's really at another level!

Those are beautiful coats , Katarina . So elegantly styled too . Escada always struck me as the epitome of European sportswear back in the day . It was a great label .

These are super fab, Katerina! I like your distinction of olive-gray and olive-green. It almost seems an oxymoron that olive could be cool, but add enough gray or black to it, and I think it is.

I chose the Geox jacket, when searching for a light puffer, because I really like the channeling - it gives it a bit of a glam and designer vibe. The jacket is very light and comfy and it came with a little fabric bag to fold the jacket into a small package - very practical for travel and transitional weather.
Anyway, I have learned a new term - “channeling”, thank you for teaching me!

Love the dressy-looking puffers. I almost went into mourning when two of my favorite brands changed designers the same year, and one went Meno-Core and the other 70s. I can only imagine the depth of your Escada mourning, their pieces look made for you. I found NWT pieces on eBay for a couple of years and then did a massive shop to find new brands. I am happy with my current mix, but it’s required a lot of trial and error and I ended up having to shop more brands on a regular basis to get the look I want.

Gorgeous puffers! I wasn't thinking I need an olive one but now I'm thinking I do. You make sophisticated cold weather dressing look so simple and easy! I know about Geox footwear but didn't know about clothing - will have to look more. Of course Escada make gorgeous clothing.

cat2 - thank you. I know, it’s a shame when that happens. I am mostly disappointed because Escada was a constant in my wardrobe for more than 20 years. Ever since I started working, I loved their blazers and suits. I could not always afford them, but I always found a way to find them on sales, in factory outlet in Germany and auctions. I have been loyal to the style regardless if it was trending or not. Escada has always had a lot of jewel tones, colour blocked brights, lux fabrics, leather, and of course black. And bling and embellishments. And I have always liked wearing bold colours and maximal outfits. I wonder, which brand might be similar…. Do you, guys, know?

I am amazed at how you manage to make a puffer look tailored. Like both, but have a slight preference for the 1st one, as that quilting is so unique

Chris, I really like Geox footwear. I have many pairs, mainly sneakers, loafers and also some Chelsea boots. I think they are great and very much value for the price. The jacket seems also nice quality. I will see, how it will hold up. I think an olive puffer would look great on you!

I would spend some time looking at the Fashion Week slides to see what brands resonate. The local Fashion week compilations have the smaller local designers as well as the big names.

My favorite part of your outfits are the scarves peeking through. They give the outfits an extra Katerina panache!

Beautiful coats Katrina.they look fabulous with your hair. I have a a green Geox parka that I bought in Austria about 5 years ago and it looks as good as new. Well worth the money.
