My New J. Crew Panama Hat & another day with white blazer

Two weeks ago, some friends and I enjoyed a day and self-guided tour at the Hsi Lai Temple on the outskirts of Los Angeles, along with a vegetarian lunch. I wore my new J. Crew (in natural) Panama hat with an old Zara striped Breton tee and my love-so-much cream Banana Republic jeans and yellow Cons. I was told that the white Panama hat looks better on dark hair and the natural on light hair and I'm happy I asked the SA for her opinion. I'm also including a few of the cute statues that sat in the gardens.

Another day, I wore my white cotton Vince Camuto one-button blazer with my Banana Republic blue and white shirt and old J. Brand jeans and nude
Salvatore Ferragamo pumps.

In the last three photos, I wore my Tory Burch blouse with a pair of several-years-old Orange Zara jeans that I hope to replace in some way, because, oddly enough, this color works so well with my animal print booties and some of my tops; then my print Tory Burch dress I wore for a brunch this past weekend. The other cream outfit is what I wore with Marley last week sans Danier moto (Theory cream silk blouse, which I ADORE, Banana Republic windowpane cropped pants, Sam Edelman heels, Michael Kors reversible belt).

The panama looks great! Especially with the classic Breton. You look super sharp in the blazer and slim leg jeans and you are fab in orange jeans, dress and window pane pants. Stunning looks!

Vicki, I just purchased orange trousers at Zara. Check them out; they could be replacements for your orange ones. What else have you worn them with? Zara shows them with white.

I just about had a fit when I saw your first picture Vicky! I absolutely love your Panama hat.

My fit, however, was caused by the ceramic Foo Dog statue. I swear we had the exact replica plus it's twin in my front hallway when I was growing up. Yes, orange and green to match the wonderful avocado and orange y gold decorating that was so popular then. I think my dad has the Foo Dogs in his front hallway now, and my mom kept the carved wooden chest that they also purchased at the same time, and uses it as a bench in her front hall. I wonder who else has them? I have never seen another one identical to ours before this.

JamC, this is outstanding fashion news and I will check out Zara this week for the orange trousers. I've been wearing mine with blue denim shirts, navy sweaters and a brown tweed sweater in the winter. Grey jackets and cream toppers work equally as well, and even some of my Breton striped tees. Glad we're orange trouser/jeans twins!

jackiec and Staysfit, I'm laughing at your love for these wonderful statues and aren't they amazing! I know! They were so tempting and I'd wished they'd been selling them in their gift shop. How wonderful you had them in your home, Staysfit, and it's fun you could see one just like yours here. I really do feel so comfortable in the windowpane outfit and wear it often. It's been one of my regular Spring outfits.

Deb, yes, my hair is getting as long as yours and next time I see you, I want you to select another hat for me to buy, since you know what you're doing in this area. I got lucky with this J. Crew one.
