My leather jacket with Spring-fuschia top.

Hi Fabbers,

This is the first time I have posted my leather jacket, although I have worn it once or twice prior to the coldest Winter weather of the last couple of months.

An online order, and probably a 7-8/10 for me:
The colour was meant to be navy but IRL is more teal,
It is quite cropped and doesn't look any good zipped-up.

I do like the real leather, the draped collar, and it has a black ponte-type insert in the sleeves that is a bit unusual.

Anyway, worn to Choir practice with a bright silk/wool top, it felt a bit fresh for the coming Spring, and no less than 6 other ladies were in some similar shade of pink today

Please feel free to tell me your thoughts on my outfit/ jacket, as I find it very useful to have suggestions and feedback from you all
Or just a 'Yay', as I rarely get comments from others IRL.

PS. The perfect leather jacket is still on my HEWI list.

I like it! The colors are gorgeous on you. And the jacket is chic. But I am not a fit expert at all. So I would leave that to the others. But I like your outfit

A big 'YAY" from me Lyn:) The jacket has the Rick Owens look with the draped lapel and the leather looks nice and soft. I like the colour, and it looks amazing over the fuschia, which is a fab colour on you. This should serve you well until you find your HEWI.

The jacket has a real wow factor from the front, the colour and drape are really beautiful. From the side view I can see why you have dubbed the fit an 8/10 .

The teal and pink works a treat.

Good luck finding your HEWI but please fully enjoy this jacket in the meantime.

I loved the jacket from the front but it does seem to flare a bit at the back. That is probably from the weight of the fabric in the drape. I would still give it a 9 at least but I am a total sucker for teal and you have paired it with another of my favorite colors. I think this looks great on you and would wear that combo in a flash.

The perfect leather jacket can be hard to find. I am lucky to have two Danier stores within 15 minutes of my home and can usually find something when needed. Don't give up.

I really love the jacket from the front. I agree that the ponte inset gives it something a bit unique. The side view is a bit off but I wonder how much of that is camera angle. Some of what we are seeing could be disguised with a less high contrast top.

I know you are not a "skirt" girl but I wonder if you would consider trying this one with a skirt or dress -- that way the cropped would become an advantage.

The top looks gorgeous on you.

Dianthus- 2 Danier stores close to you? Fantastic!
Although I am spoilt for choice generally for fashion, there is only one dedicated leather store in my city, and their style is very traditional.
So it is on-line ordering/ one off super pricey or nothing

Actually, I love the drape in the back, very modern but it takes does getting used to.

Ta BJ111- it isn't an issue with me, actually, I think the fit is OK.
It is just that I would love to have had lots of styles to choose from in B&M stores like Danier, to achieve closer to a 9/10.
