They were like picture 1 though not quite as high-heeled and more of a burgundy color.
I was 14 and in 9th grade - had a cash job and so could buy my own shoes. A few months later, I bought the exact Candie's spike heels shown in picture 2. My mother had marginally disapproved of the platforms but truly loathed the spike- heel-with-designer-jeans trend.
