I was not planning on buying a new holiday outfit as I have dressy items in my wardrobe. However, one of my favourite designers made this skirt - a rainbow pleat skirt and lace and cotton shirt. I tried it on, and it was lovely. Pleated skirts are not the most flattering shape on me, but I just loved this one. I think with dressy items, you really have to love them before adding them to your closet.

I had a work event to attend and I was the hostess for the night. A networking event at the Ballet. The ballet was Alice in Wonderland. It was a magnificent production, and the outfit felt just right and went well with my magenta glitter heels. Sorry I did not take any photos, I was running late (for a very important date)!

I can separate out the pieces to make them less dressy and found that they both work with so many other items in my wardrobe. I do have a few events to attend, a nice work Christmas dinner at a lovely restaurant and catch ups with family and friends over the new year...
