It's my very first WIW today, so here's one of my winter MOTG outfits.
Black ponti pants (a couple of seasons old now), a grey cowl neck merino, red cardigan which is almost like a jacket but cosy and you can wear it inside without feeling overdressed, and black boots bought two years ago.
The first time I wore these boots my Dad (kindly and jokingly) called them my dominatrix boots. Peasant! I did feel nervous buying them, and while I quite like them they're not my favourites. In fact, if I'm honest, I feel a bit conspicuous in them. I discovered that I reach for my tan boots about a thousand more times than I reach for these.
The black boots also came with criss-cross ties at the back with a bow at the top and it wasn't long before I rethreaded them so all you see is straight lines and I hid the bows inside. My happiness factor went up hugely after that. It seems I am a buckle detail girl - not a boho tie girl.
Over the knee boots have never really taken off here, so I'll keep wearing these with black pants but I don't think I'll replace them when they die.
Enough boot therapy now. It's a privilege to talk about fashiony things with you lovely YLF ladies. Thanks for having me.
