I started a day early because Sunday was a snow day -- over 45 cm and everything cancelled! So I took it as a chance to do an outfit that wouldn't fly for work or church.

Despite my love of neutrals I found this painting the most challenging to match --- I guess all my grey /black /taupe items are bottoms... Then I remembered these pants, recently thrifted because they are SO much comfortable than jeans (no idea what to call this style. Mom jeans? They are Lees). The close-up shows the colour blend. On top, blue pinstripes to bring in the blue of the background. To add in the warmer neutral tones I wore a brown woven leather belt and (not visible) taupe socks and hair clip. And my grey house slippers, because this was a day for Netflix and reading by the fire.

In the pics I look pretty scruffy (gentlewoman at home?) but I felt kind of like Lauren Bacall with the sleeves pushed up. And then my Bogey suggested we watch To Have and Have Not...

Thanks for following my ramblings. I hear the plough. Maybe I'll append some Blizzard Aftermath photos.
