My Favourite Things Challenge

Thanks for the challenge Mary-Beth!

Here are my five work outfits for the week featuring two of my favourite things at the moment

1) My Veronika Maine wool coat
2) My Deadly Ponies Mr Robin slouchy bag

Outside this there are some pieces here I really like but the coat and the bag makes these looks feel a bit more special.

The outfit I like the least with the coat is the navy roll neck and hanky style skirt - even though the skirt features the same colour in the print.

At the moment I am taking a relaxed approach to matching, and being more experimental with colours that may or may not work together.

I haven't had much chance to look at the other Favourite Things posts so that is a fun task for later today after work!

That coat fits you superbly and you have such a marvelous presence in it. I see how it could make anything you wear with it special. It looks as great with jeans or sneakers as it does with dresses and boots. Nice bag, too.

Bonnie, Irina and Jaime - I agree. Both colours are a bit "off" which makes them interesting. They have a warm undertone which makes them easy for me to incorporate.

A good coat and/or bag would technically be one some of my most worn items-does that mean that they are also my favourites---will have to think deeper---but it so rewarding if these meet together-like in your case here! Great outfits here-including the one you don't really favor!! What's your complain against that one???

I like your idea of a "relaxed" approach to color--and often the most stylish people I see have some incongruity in their outfits. I like all of these photos, but I think my favorite thing is the boots.

These looks are so cute! You kind of have a 60s/70s British rock vibe. I’m wondering if you wore a light and/or open-neck top with the skirt, what happens. I think the dark high neck top sort of damps down your cool energy.
