My Cos widelegs: trendy or ridiculous?

Hi fabbies. Here’s some pics of my new Cos widelegs (pics 3 & 4). Are they trendy and modern or do they just look a bit silly? I’m not sure how I feel about them. Also included is yesterday’s outfit, almost in my Care Bear palette (pics 1 & 2).

Jussie I think you look lovely in your Cos wide legs - you have the height and slim figure to look elegant and edgy wearing these. Love that they are a white pin stripe, and they fit in well with the Care Bear colour scheme.

However, how you feel about them is the most important thing. If you have doubts, keep them for a week and try them daily to see if you adjust to the "new to you" silhouette. Usually after a play in my closet I know whether buyers remorse will set in or not.

I wish I was cool enough to wear Cos - such a fabulous store! They are close but just not quite right for my style although I imagine that from time to time I will be able to pick up a piece at Cos that works beautifully for me.

I’m not certain. The elastic waist band is not that great tbh. I tend to think if you are doubting an item, return it and keeping looking. There are plenty of wide leg fashion trousers out there at present.

I genuinely cannot judge the wide legged pants because my eye is still adjusting to this look. I can say the rest of your ensemble is stellar. I particularly like the way you highlight certain aspects of your ensemble (jewelry, shoes). Sometimes I miss these details in the overall WIW, and yet they are the most interesting aspect. LOVE that necklace. LOVE those shoes!!!!!!!!!!

Love the pinstripes and the white, and the general silhouette works for your boho vibe, but the elastic waist seems to add a lot of bulk to your slim frame. Have you tried on any with a more fitted waist?

Bijou: thanks for your kind words. I’m sure you could wear Cos - although their garments probably just don’t have the glamour factor that you usually wear.
I also tried on 2 sack dresses (not good), and one edgy black top (pretty good but not the right size). They had some funky costume jewelry too.

Deborah: thank you! That’s what I was hoping for with this outfit. Not my usual style but fun to play with.
Sterling: thank you for the compliment on the jewelry and shoes! The shoes are leather but bought very cheaply from Target and the necklace was around $7aud. I really like making cheaper garments work hard in my wardrobe.
Kathie: thanks so much for your wise opinion. Yes, they pouf out below the waistband quite a lot. I was hoping that would look intentional rather than “oh I threw on these pants without realizing how butt-enlarging they are” ifkwim.
However you may be right.... it might just be too much. I’ll see what others think and ask my hubby for his opinion although he will likely think they look like pajamas ;).
