Reporting in for my summer 2022: I am now a coastal grandmother in EVERY sense. Baby Elsie was born a week ago! Here are some highlights from the past summer.
I think the new moniker suits me better than "preppy" which used to be the closest descriptor for my summer style preferences. Although I have less white-out and more high contrast than the usual coastal grandma spread.
Comments:
1-5 are all pieces and combinations from previous years. Autopilot in summer is easy. Outfits skew more casual and more pretty than my usual Gentlewoman style.
6&7 are from a weekend visit to my sister in Charlottetown.
8 I wore for Acadian National Day on Aug. 15 which is a big deal here. The Acadian flag is the French Tricolore with a yellow star in the top corner. My Malaysian Airlines batik scarf stood in to add the yellow.
The ruffled silk blouse in 10 and heavy cotton sack dress in 12 are thrifting finds this summer.
Last but not least, for Angie, what I wore to walk around on Table Mountain (13) during the June trip to Cape Town. And 14/15, to stroll the boardwalk at Sea Point.
Oh! And 16, the star of the show!
