I was travelling over the spring break and needed a smart casual capsule. I put together the following outfits using less than 10 items + 3 accessories. I did have more outfits planned, but lost some of the pictures because the computer crashed. In any case, I know I haven't posted pictures in a while and I know that some of you are in the process of putting together capsules for various occasions. So I thought I would post these here.
Our weather still hasn't improved much, so these outfits are very seasonally appropriate here, but I know that some of you are already battling the summer heat.
Ok, thanks for looking!

ETA:
There were some questions about each of the items, so let me answer them here. The capsule is made up of the following items:
1) Gap black leggings
2) Gap flared jeans (but they are more bootcut than flared)
3) Vintage leather skirt - from my mom
4) Express white button down:

I own this in blue as well, and it was also in my luggage. As you can see, all the outfits that work with the white button down, work with the blue one as well.
5) Ann Taylor black and white print top:

This pattern but a different cut.
6) Ann Taylor floral print top:

I also had this in my luggage:

As you can see it is again interchangeable with the other tops.
7) Mossimo cardi from Target
It is a deep cobalt blue, but I purchased it to replace my purple cardi, so it really plays well with colors that go with purple.
8) Express jacket

I had the matching skirt my luggage as well:

I did wear the full suit with white and blue button down and added the cardi when it was too cold. You can also switch out the leather skirt for this one for a similar but less edgy look.

Shoes:
1) Payless foldover booties

Also, thanks for reminding me to post each of the items, because now I can acknowledge my debt to fabulous YLF ladies who have contributed to the making of this capsule. You are wonderful!
2) Steve Madden zaney boots

From YLF swap in CT. April graciously donated them to the swap. Thanks April!

Accessories
1) Blue scarf - ann Taylor?
From YLF swap in CT. Lisa has the best taste in scarves, I am very grateful that she decided to pass this on to me. Thanks Lisa!
2) Bib necklace

This was Denise's (cocolion) secret santa gift to me. I love it to pieces. Thanks Denise!
3) Pearl necklace
This was my secret santa gift from the previous year. Thanks Una! I must have worn it 50 times already!

I have two more layers:
1) A long sleeved tissue weight tee in black - I wore this under the patterned tops. It served two purposes, keeping me warm and keeping the top away from my skin so I can wear them multiple times without needing to launder in between.
2) A white cami - to wear under the white button down - I guess you can do another long sleeve tee in its stead. The shirts need to get laundered eventually, so it really helps to have one white and one blue.

Here are some of my other ideas to remix these pieces:
leather skirt + button down + scarf + booties
flared jeans + black and white top + blue cardi + booties + bib necklace
black skinny jeans + floral top + jacket + boots + pearl necklace
leather skirt + floral top + blue cardi + booties + pearl necklace

Tops would easily go 10 days for me, but your mileage might vary. I think you could easily add another topper here, like a red cardi or a leather jacket or both.
I hope this helps!
