Shana, count me in as "+1" on the side of that rant. Though of course many of the "downplay the middle" dressing strategies work no matter what one's shape.

At the risk of sounding pervy, your side view shows a caboose that looks like it does a million lunges a day -- it's up and a bit out like a bikini model!
IME, -O, and memory not many Rectangles are so blessed. Which makes me think you are more in that Pear/Hourglass category.
Your shoulders and hips are very balanced -- with hips looking *slightly* wider to me. [Like "Did you know Halle Berry is a pear?" wider.]
As Shana said, maybe try to think about/look for photos of your pre-baby shape...if your waist truly *in* then I would think Pear/HG is on target; if you were more straight up and down Rectangle seems more accurate.
I always think it's useful to look at all shape categories, try the tips that seem to make sense, and see the results. So I'd do that.
I don't think you'll have any problem looking great!
