For the last part of the week I laid off of the animal print and neutrals, and embraced brights and turquoise instead.

#1-4: OMG Pants!
So I can wear outfits incorporating hectic pattern mixing and no one blinks an eye, but I wear pants and EVERYONE comments! (B. included.)
Actually, I got a lot of unsolicited positive feedback on this outfit. A couple colleagues encouraged me to wear this again.
I'm not sure that the photos capture just how fab this Bellatrix turquoise floral-patterned blouse actually is - the fabric is *so* soft and floaty, and it drapes particularly beautiful when you're in motion. And this is by far my favorite type of neckline on a blouse. Worn here with black ponte knit skinnies, low turquoise pumps, and a large silver pendant necklace.
And yes, the hanger strap that I forgot to cut off is sticking out of the neckline, but I swear I corrected it before heading to work.

#5-8: Cowgirl scarf and wrap dress
I have to give SO many props to forum member La Francaise for providing me a link to MaiTai's blog with her excellent scarf-knotting tips. I especially love this cowboy criss-cross knot tutorial. This scarf tying technique would look smart over a button-down shirt or turtleneck, sure, but given that it's summer I decided to try it with a light patterned wrap dress instead and indulge my pattern-and-color-mixing obsession.
This is the relatively new Kate Spade patterned silk scarf bought on clearance, red and white coral-patterned Tahari wrap dress, and the same turquoise pumps as in the previous outfit.
