Multiple ear piercings

Im planning on piercing my right ear all the way to the top right now I have 3 in each. Any advice or options ?

Is your hair short enough to show the piercings? Do you wear earrings often enough to make it worthwhile? Do you go to school, or work somewhere were that wouldnt be a issue? Do you want a stronger 'edge' to your style? If yes, I'd say go for it!

I used to have 6 on one side and 3 on the other. I liked it but somewhere along the way I quit wearing earrings all the time and those top 3 closed. Makes me sad but I won't redo them because its painful and takes a long time to heal in the cartilage area.
