I’m not sure the women at the fabric store thought I was moving in style in my plaid pants, but this has been my style while moving in.

The plaid jacket is on its way here from Deutschland, but the pants were still at my parents. I don’t know if I’ll wear them together again or not. I was supposed to ditch the boots because the color is coming off, but my son convinced me to toss them in at the last minute. I want to find some cool metallic polish like Brooklyn uses and cover up the black spot.

Returned the U-Haul and biked home on a sunny day in the 50s.

I’m so glad I have the little boiled wool jacket! We’ve had a lot of cool days when it’s been just right.

That’s every jacket and coat I have for now.

Agree with Ms Maven, #1 and #4 are my favourites too. Moving is hard work, I hope it went well and you feel settled in your new home.

Looking good in those tartan plaid pants, hopefully you can rescue the boots with a little metallic polish.
That boiled wool jacket is so fab, really nice combined with the white too.

Irene, would the hat be better if I put the houndstooth side on the outside? In any event, I need to pull it further down on my forehead.

Zaoebi and Angie, yes, still the floral metallic Seychelles. I see the two-toned look in the one pic but irl they’re not so neatly divided. I won’t be able to replicate the flowers, but hope that smudges of gold and bronze can cover up the black.

Suz, climate change is weird; I lucked out with the jacket.

The 80s vibe is authentic; I got the pants (& jacket) early in my undergrad college years.

Dee and Bijou, thanks for asking. I was stressed until I got it out with a good little cry. I’m not trying to run out to Berlin stores any more, but when I set my head to “American” I keep pulling up Tampa shops—still not the right setting! Can’t wait til I have a bit more furniture, but new neighbors I just met have loaned me two wingback chairs and an ottoman, so I have a place to sit, besides my mattress.

Yes I can imagine its all been quite an ordeal of emotions and stress. Glad to hear that some neighbors have helped you settle in a bit more.

Stag F,yes, maybe more graphic print will make it like a cool bucket hat. In maroon color it looks a bit too matronly for what you typically wear, imo.

That green jacket is great on you! Bet you're glad the move is done- and kudos for the UHaul driving! I tried it once- and it was not a good experience :/
