Today in Australia we are celebrating Mother's Day. It is always a lovely day for me to reflect on the joy of being a Mum to my son and my fur baby Margot and also to remember the great times I had with my own Mum.

I find these milestone days a lovely reminder to honour my Mum's memory. My Mum loved to wear bright and bold jewel colours (she had classic Winter colouring) and so when I dressed today, I decided to wear my bright pink sweater, pink and leopard scarf and a very bright lipstick (Mum looked great with a red lipstick, it was a signature for her). Mum would have loved this look, although she would have worn prettier shoes but these were just right for taking Margot for her daily walk.

We were able to catch up with DH's Mother and Father, I am glad that my 14 year old son still has grandparents and can enjoy the company of the different generations in our family.

DS and I went to the local flower shop to pick out flowers. DS was a good sport and let me photograph him, but I have chopped him out, as I know he is increasingly becoming reluctant to pose for photos. You can probably tell he is now as tall as me.

As a treat, we are going out for dinner tonight to a favourite Italian restaurant.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.
