ZOMG I have been crying my eyes out all morning! Happy tears, because this morning at about 6 a.m. my son and his company of recruits completed their grueling 54-hour final "Crucible" training exercise and are now full-fledged Marines! Oorah!

I never in a million years thought I was raising a Marine all these years, but I can tell from his letters that he is in his proper place and if he's happy, I'm happy! I'm SO happy! I didn't shed a tear when he left or during the 12 weeks since, but I can't get the waterworks turned off today! LOL

And I finally got to bust out my "Proud Marine Mom" shirt, complete with Rosie the Riveter! I tried to cover my face but I think if you look carefully you can see some pretty impressive post-nip/tuck bruises!

And here's a shot of my PFC and his buddies, taken from a video they posted on the web last Friday. He's changed so much it took me several days to pick him out! (He's the one in the middle, obviously!)

Thanks for looking and for letting me brag!
