Here are some outfits I wore to go teaching recently.

Pic 1: Trying to channel the "Nostalgic Tee" outfit formula, although I don't own such a tee, but I do have this nice uneven sleeves top.

Pic 2: Without the scarf.

Pic 3: Black and white: but I think these white stretch pants might be too small, especially in the hips and thighs area. They are so comfy though. What do you think?

Pic 4: With jacket.

Pic 5: orange and white.

Pic 6: With blue jacket.

Pic 7: Electric blue top, white clam digger jeans and taupe booties. OMG just realized a bit of my bra is showing. Which only says I should be extra careful with this top (maybe tape the straps?).

Pic 8: Same with taupe jacket

Pics 9-10: How slouchy can one get? I like this outfit a lot though.

Pics 11-14 : skinny bottom, slouchy top. Flower print skinnies, oversized gold pullover. Trying to get some print mixing going with a striped tee underneath. Then same thing with the jacket and scarf I wore with it.

My favorites are #2 and #9! Love those slouchy slacks!

What a great set of outfits! I love that fringed scarf in 1 and 13, and I love how you bookend the taupe booties with your hair or a jacket.

If the white jeans are too bodycon for you, I would put them with a longer top, untucked or semi-tucked. I'd definitely keep them.

The outfits with the orange top seem so perfect to me. You really wear orange well. Also I have a cobalt top very similar to yours and I can't wait to put it with white jeans!

Again, great outfits. You've got your style going really well!

I agree with Karie! I love the blouse in 2 and the colors and silhouette of 9. For some reason I find myself preferring the other outfits *with* the jackets. It must have something to do with what my eye perceives as balance.

Great outfits, Krish. You can really pull of the bootie+skirt thing, in a way that I just can't seem to. 6 and 9 are my faves.

1,2 Love. Without the scarf. Necklace?

3,4 like the jacket idea. Try with jacket in 6, better proportions, i think. Love the necklace with the shirt neckline.

5,6 again, great with the jacket. Try with the taupe booties?

9,10 love this with chunkier footwear. To me, strappy strappy sandals needs fewer layers or is seasonally confused. Love the necklace , neckline combo.

11,12 try this with white bottoms!!! Would be super, i bet.

13,14 prefer the floral jeans in this combo.

Some great outfits, and BJ has given some terrific suggestions for other ways to do it with the pieces you have, I think. It is so true that white and taupe or beige/ tan are a fantastic combination.

My faves here are 2, 6, 12, 13. You look absolutely glowing in that orange! Lucky you - it is a happy colour! I agree with BJ that a simple necklace on #2 (no scarf) might be a nice change. But I love the scarf with the floral pants. So much fun. You also have a great assortment of sandals!

I love the fit of the white clams on you. If the white stretch pants feel good then the snugness might be more a function of the camera than any reality - that can happen, I believe, especially with white. But you could always keep them and wear them more as leggings with longer tops (like the blue one) over to hide the hip area if you feel self-conscious. That's one nice thing about a stretch pant like that - - you don't get bumps and bulges as with jeans and so can wear a looser top over it without creating a problem.

Adlefa, Thank you for your honesty about the white pants, I needed that.
You know, it's not that I wear orange particularly well (and usually not at all), but it is this special Liz Claiborne shade: more deep red pigment and a golden vibrant yellow as opposed to faded out or gray-infused / cool tints. I think that is the secret. Fortunately, I see a lot of that colour around this spring.

Pil, it's probably because I built these outfits around the jackets to start with! I find doing this a lot lately, as a teacher, because I am often in between classes in a draft, but I can remove the topper in a warmer classroom.

Sarah, I'm sure you could. The secret here is that I really splurged on this Guess By Marciano tailored pencil skirt, after a long search and many tries. On this one, the length, room, hem, waist were all perfect. It does make a big difference!

bj1111, thank you for your suggestions! And thank you for taking the time to analyse all these outfits. It is so very useful to me! I will try them. Had already tried 1 with a smallish necklace, but now with your comment and the pics I realize a larger statement necklace would be required. Jacket: will do! It might also help with the extreme body con fit of these pants. And you are opening up my eyes about 9-10's footwear. 11-12 with white: trying it this morning!

Suz, I got the white and taupe inspiration from you! I take in your outfit preferences. Thank you for your feedback on the white pants. I love them so much, but I think I will use them as leggings as you suggest. The sandals are Beautifeel that I got on sale last year for half the price! Unfortunately, though, the first pair shown (in 3-4) hurt my feet after an hour despite being my size. Straps are just a tad too snug with no way of adjusting them. The elastic is a bit too tight, but I am afraid to have it "fixed" by a cobbler and ruined. The other pair (9-10), I was able to successfully stretch last week using Angie's wet feet trick and they now fit perfectly. I feel they will be worn a lot this summer.

I do find the white pants in #3 a little snug to be worn with a tucked top. Can you wear them with un-tucked tops seeing as they are so comfy?

Are those Everybody shoes in #3?

Thank you for posting this fab collection of outfits! My favorites are the first (1,2), the second (3 etc) and the last outfit (13 etc.) Where did you get that scarf? I love scarves with fringe and pom poms, a bit hard to find right now.
