Getting frustrated. Was really looking forward to this box from Nordstrom and I think I've struck out??

#1-2 Bobeau Asymmetrical fleece wrap cardigan. Very comfy, very soft and fleecy but too casual for work for most days. And I wanted it to be a darker purple not quite as bright.

#3-4 Trouve mixed yarn cardigan . I feel like this neckline is hitting too low on my chest.

#5-6 Robbi and Nikki Mixed media sweatshirt from the Fall capsule post. I liked this so much online, but it seems to bulk me up in a not flattering way. It's also a little scratchy and the sleeves are too long.

#7-10 Halogen knit moto jacket. I think Goldenpig has this one in black, and I ordered the black too. I ordered this oatmeal color because this color was on sale (black wasn't), but not sure I want two and I think the black will be more versatile for work.

#11-12 Knit vest with faux leather pockets from the ponte pants and toppers post. I like this a lot and I think I could wear it with a turtleneck underneath, but it is restrictive of raising my arms, so it's work use would be limited. Not sure if I should keep it just for casual wear.

#1-I adore this color on you, your face brightens right up, I vote keep.

#4-I like it, closed, and if paired with a buttondown shirt to fill some space from the open neckline here.

#5-This looks great on you, I vote keep! But if it is scratchy, back it goes. I also have this and am trying to decide to keep or return, although I think it is soft.

#7-I like the fit but not the color. If you plan to wear with strong colors to make it pop I vote keep, but if you want to pair with white or other light colors, I vote pass, with white it washes you out.

#11-I vote pass, restricted arms are a deal breaker for me.

1-2 -- love it on you.
3-4 -- eh, looks boring and matronly to me...
5-6 -- scratchy would drive me crazy, so I'd return!
7-10 -- agree with Lisa, not the best color for you
11-12 -- I really like this on you open, but not so much buttoned. If you raise your arms, does not the whole thing go up to give you more range of motion? I can't tell where the sleeves end.

Hang in there, Peekaboo. Shopping is hard work, especially if restocking a whole wardrobe after body or lifestyle changes. I remember my early shopping after joining YLF. Sometimes I felt as if I would never get it right.

Angie's picks are always fantastic items, but it can take a while to understand what from her picks is most likely to work for our body shape or lifestyle needs. And it's easy to get caught up in ordering a whole pile of things in the hope of hitting a home run with at least one...and then still strike out. I know I struck out big time on some of my first Nordstrom's orders -- everything went back.

The Bobeau is really lovely on you and if you can't wear it for work, could you still use it at home? It's quite tempting, I must say. Looks like a fabulous loungewear piece.

The cardigan in 3/4 actually looks good to me, but it might need some styling. I'm not sure what to suggest for that and hope someone else will chime in. I feel as if you need to try it properly styled to get a good sense of it.

First view of the sweatshirt I really liked, but second one not so much and I do see the sleeve issue. If it is not comfy, send it back.

I like the moto a lot. Hang onto this colour until the black comes so you can compare.

Vest is super interesting and a fun piece. Is there any sizing up option if it restricts your arms or is this the design at work?

I like this but am not crazy about the colour and it sounds like you are not either. If that's the case, you won't wear it so I say return.

I would suggest styling will make or break this and it could be dressed up or down, but despite not really knowing your style, something about this is saying it's not really 'you'?

This shape works perfectly on you. I love it. The colour however is maybe not your best and I would be inclined to keep the black one.

If it's not comfortable and you are restricted in it, I say return.

I think the more time we spend here, the more particular we become in terms of fit, comfort, etc so don't be discouraged. Even it you only keep the black Haologen jacket you have one new garment that you know you really like and it works for you. You seem quite attracted to lighter tones here which has me wondering which light tone would be your best?

I agree that 1 looks wonderful on you. If it doesn't serve your needs (the wear to work issue) or you don't care for the color despite our cheering, return. You're looking for 10s.

I like 4, and don't see any issues with neckline. Open it will want to look sloppy or possibly dowdy. Belting it could help. Or half-open maybe. I would only keep it if you are really drawn to it and feel great in it. Pieces that have to be fiddled with to look good are only worth it if you love it and feel terrific and secure for the day once you have it styled the way you like it.

5/6 meh with issues, as you say. Is this the one that looked great on Lisa in her recent capsule post?

As Suz said, a piece that's great for one of us won't do it for the next one. I have had some disappointments from Angie picks, and all because I wasn't being aware enough if the colors and shapes that are my personal best. Shopping IS such hard work when done carefully to high standards and a vision for your whole wardrobe and style. I'm convinced it's worth it though.

7-10 seems snug, and not sure it's your best color but it's hard to tell with photos of subtle shades.

11-12 I agree, arm raising without thought or effort is necessary, even just at home.

So sorry your anticipated goody bag disappointed. I would mentally bookmark the elements you adored about the ones you most wish worked for you, and try again to work those elements into your wardrobe. I can't quit thinking how good you look in that rich purple.

I've just gotten a little monkey wrench in my wardrobe plans though. A positive pregnancy test! I haven't told anyone IRL yet except DH, but it does change my assessment of some things. I have to think even a little harder now.

I like #1 for a fun bright piece and the moto jacket fit but not in love with the color. Not adoring anything else. I saw the mixed media top in person and felt it was a little chunky and stiff for a sweatshirt style, though I loved it in principle. Shopping can be exhausting, yes?

Oooh, congrats!!!! #1 would look lovely with a growing belly!

I hate when it happens: when the long awaited box arrrived and nothing works!:-) Well, at least shipping and returns are free!
Saying that I am not sure all of this is strike out. The purple color is very good on you but only you can say if the style is too casual for your work or not: it would work for my casual environment.
3-4 - I agree with your assessment, not thrilled with the neckline either
5-6 - is a fun piece but I think it should fit a bit looser. Can you try and size up? However scratchy will break it for me for sure...

Moto is a good shape for you so black one may be a winner! (not loving the beige here)

Knit vest is fabulous and very flattering on you - but again the comfort is something only you can assess. I know that lack of comfort or off fit are my primary reasons for purging...just saying!
