Gorgeous outfit on you, Brooklyn. I would make a point to compliment you if I saw you. Your outfits are so striking.

This is gorgeous and SOOOO luxe!

I love seeing the autumnal fashion come out at your side of the world -- so rich (at least on you!)

I love the idea of creating a collection of metallic tops. I think I have something of the sort -- or tops with metallic bits. I could use something like what you are wearing in this photo, though -- a long sleeved T- type top. Here's what I have at the moment...

Wow - this is so lovely and I like Janet's description of quietly maximal. I too am amazed that you don't get stopped in the street for being so stylish. I think it is likely that Sydney is such a busy city that people are less likely to chat like in our smaller regional cities. I am so thrilled to see you post here for us as your style is inspirational.

Bijou, thank you. That is so nice! I’ve never thought about it, but I wonder if that’s true about Sydney. Everyone is in a hurry. I must admit there are times when I’ve thought I’d like to compliment a passerby but didn’t stop for fear of her being in a hurry and a bit annoyed by the interruption. I’m much more likely to say something if we are paused together waiting at lights or in a queue for coffee or some such thing.

Suz, thanks. I love your metallic tops. I think they are a classic and a handy thing to pull out whenever an outfit needs some extra pizzazz. Trinny says they can help reflect light onto your face in a flattering way. So there’s that too.

Merwoman, the top is changeable! In person it looks more gold but in the photo it looks more green. It’s an unusual colour. Light gold is easier to find. Thanks for chiming in.

And thanks SF, Laurie and RobinF.

Angie, I am very comfortable here on Team Flats. Think I’ll stay.
