I've been reading all the closet purging threads with great interest, and wondering what you guys would consider a minimal wardrobe.

I don't think I really need to purge, mostly because I don't have that much stuff (yes, I need to get rid of things that no longer fit, and I'm working on that). For example, I have no shoes that aren't either black or brown (3 pairs of pumps, 3 pairs of flats, 2 pairs of boots, 2 pairs of sandals, 2 pairs of workout shoes).

As I've been getting more into the YLF mindset, I find myself thinking, wow, if I just had a pair of turquoise|red|yellow shoes, that would really make this outfit! But I know I'm not going to go out and buy red or yellow shoes - it's just not where I want to put my money.

So what would be a minimal wardrobe that includes the basics, but also includes enough accessories and color to build non-boring outfits?
