Back home now! We had the most fantastic time. It was super to learn Italian and lovely to be in Milan. We took things very easy and did little in between our classes. Mum and I had such a special time together, so many happy memories to think back on.

Mum feels very much younger than when we set out - lots of stairs in our hotel and 5 to 7 miles walking a day. 78 years young on Wednesday so a wonderful example to me. She was The Star in the class; she gave and received lots of love.

We did shop and fell back in love with Benetton, I bought a matching jacket and a blouse. From Zara a little orangey top, perfect for under a denim jacket in the summer.

Thank you for your kind and generous comments on my previous post; they gave us a little boost every morning as we were getting ready for school.

A few photos - of buildings and unsupervised building tools (can't take me away from work for too long!). Happy hour in Milan is super good value and delicious. Weather was variable, and if it rained, it seemed to rain a lot!
