Today I had a hair appointment.

My last colour was mid December and the last cut was late January......so I discovered that I am not very blonde any longer and not very grey either.

Before and after photos..... plus WIW (think black tights was a mistake and should have worn nude).

We have ended lockdown and have a few restrictions in place for businesses, but many aspects of life are similar to how things were in February. We have a damaged economy, broken businesses and the sad death of 21 citizens, but we have been fortunate that Covid is not in our community. However there are hard times ahead.

I felt grateful to get this cut and colour.....

I am not a long hair person (I just tie it up always) so it is nice to be shorter again. I just feel more like me.

I like these mid browns.....but forgot a few things about the dress (it needs a non slip cami, and the black tights don't work with these boots.

TG - it is a bit bittersweet. I am grateful and appreciative of where we are at. But obviously sad about people losing their jobs and businesses.

Wow do you ever have great hair! Love the new cut and colour . Lovely colours on you too. Here in my part of the world, we are inching toward what will be normal for a long time I suspect. Things are opening up, and people are returning to work, which is great. I am SO thankful for what we have as a family.

Gorgeous transformation! We are also approaching back to normal, plus masks and a few other changes. People are snapping back pretty quickly here.

Yes it is just how I like it. Dirty Warm blonde and a bit messy!

I think I can still scrape it back for exercising which is helpful.

I really like your after photos. The new length looks great. So does the color. We are still very much at home with lots of restrictions in place. There have been many deaths ( hundreds) in all age groups and it is not over.

You are killing it - LOVE the new haircut and your outfit is perfect too. That new coat has proven to be a fabulous wardrobe addition, a great match with your boots.

Congratulations on the easing of restrictions. COVID is tricky - we have had many days of zero incidents, but a freight boat has come into port with a sick crew, so our hospitals are busy dealing with another outbreak. At this stage the local community is safe. Unfortunately where I live which has lots of imports and exports and people returning from overseas, the threat is not over until a vaccine is available. So glad that your very strict restrictions have eased.

I am glad to hear your restrictions are easing up. We have stayed at home and most everything is closed. Some stores are able to open up and have a few customers in at a time. I have no idea when salons will be open.

We never had more than 3 cases in our county and those were from travelers back in March - all recovered. Closest bigger city is Austin where the numbers have also been low with most cases from travelers bringing it into nursing homes, hospitals and care centers. Most people here seem to be getting back to work pretty quickly though it will be harder for the restaurants and small retail people to get back on their feet. Live music has started back up at many venues (here there are a lot of outdoor venues too, which makes it easier). The lakes were packed over the weekend even with some stormy weather on/off.

My county generally has more deaths PER DAY than the whole of the epidemic where you are.

Wow, such a difference, great haircut, suits you perfectly. I am now itching for a haircut. Lockdown has ended here also and many businesses like shops, hairdressers and restaurants are back on n business. But I just read the news that there are 6 new cases this morning in Kindergarten nearby. My daughter scool is back on, but we had an option to continue with on line scool and we decided to keep her home until end of this school year. And I think it was good decision- already on the second day of school there was a suspect case in her class and poor kid had to get tested and all the other kids were sent home pending the test results. Fortunately kid was negative, but can imagine the stress.

I like the tweaks - keeping a little length, some layers, and the subtle blending of colour. Beautiful!

Yes Covid is tricky - and whilst we are opening up here it could change quickly. I understand various pulls from health and business and education perspectives. Being an island at the bottom of the world helps but of course as Bijou mentioned, things can change very quickly. Most of the deaths here were elderly people in rest homes or one or two clusters.

Synne - the jacket is a little tricky to wear but worth it for the collar and colour alone. I love a dramatic collar and one that is lower cut like this suits me better.
