Hi friends, I am hoping some of the fitness folks on here might have tips for me. I am in full menopause now and gaining weight and size all around my middle, which is all fine and normal and not unhealthy, but I am getting sick of buying new pants
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for this? If you experienced it, did it level out at some point, or did you have any luck trimming your middle without doing anything drastic? Or should I just accept it and budget for bigger pants for the next five years? I am working on increasing my protein and fibre, getting back to higher daily steps, and doing Pilates about 4 or 5 times a week (shorter sessions). I am still struggling to lift weights but I am trying again. Drinking my water. I hate food tracking but will do so for the next week or two just to make sure I'm not going overboard without realizing it.
I am also working on managing stress better, since I know this can be a contributing factor.
My Mom also collected weight around her waist, but she also was not one for exercising (although as a part-time nurse she wasn't sedentary) or watching what she ate! For reference I'm up 10 pounds since covid, and probably 5 of that in the last few months, and also in the last few months it seems to have all migrated to my waistline :/
Thank you wise ones! xx
