Thanks everyone! It was fantastic to get away, spend time with friends, and go to a blockbuster exhibition. It’s the first time post Covid I’ve felt fairly normal. We even ate indoors. That’s a particularly good experience in Melbourne. They do stylish eating very well.
Thanks also for not being negative about the jeans. I didn’t mean to be defensive but jeans are such a hard fit for me. And I love the way these fit so much. I’ve actually bought 3 pairs now. The second pair I’ve already overdyed green for a teal effect. The third pair I’m going to overdye burgundy. That should set me up pretty well for winter.
Olive Green, thanks for “louche and strict”. That’s so good! (And louche is a word I should use more often.)
Xtabay, how exciting that you saw it too! I think it was a bit of a coup for the NGV.
Angie, nope, no faded blue near my face. I am faded enough already. But thanks for being so nice
Tanya, Suz, LJP, BlueJay, Jonesy, Dee, Janet, Bonnie, Kkards, pirouette, Indigoprint, Sal, Nikki, slim cat, Roberta, Irina and everyone, the exhibit was wonderful. His premature death is such a loss to the world. I love how bold and provocative his designs and shows were, while still paying homage to history and tradition. I wish big fashion exhibits came here more often. Very inspirational. And a great reminder to DYOT.
