Our students return on Monday and I can’t wait to meet my new cohort. Meanwhile, the days have been busy with meetings and other things. Trying to stay comfy for these 10-12 hour stretches while still maintaining the guise of professionalism .
Please advise on improvements, and I again thank all of you for your great outfit posts. I couldn’t get dressed without you.

I think you've nailed it. These are all professional looks, while remaining comfortable and practical for the work you need to do. I would wear any of these outfits to work (I teach). I don't know what level you teach, but getting a classroom ready can take some physical effort too, what with moving furniture around, climbing up and down ladders to hang things . . .

Thanks, Becky and Angie. I teach at the college level. Lots of people dress VERY casually, but somehow that doesn’t seem quite right to me.

Many of my colleagues dress more casually than I would be comfortable with dressing (for myself). I try to look as professional as possible, while still being able to physically do what I need to do (I teach elementary school, but not the youngest students).

They’re all excellent, but I love 3. The jean jacket and the patterned shoes with the dress really appeals to me.

I love all of these! That cropped white jacket is great on you. You’re playing a lot with vertical proportions here and my favorites are the cropped jacket over long layers. I’ve been shopping for a new black denim jacket and this makes me reconsider the hip-length one I just found in favor of some cropped option I haven’t found yet.

From your location, I wonder if you teach at the same college as my brother.

Angie, my feet are pretty narrow, but long. The loafers are Naturalizer, which I know you like, in 9.5 N.
The others are Vaneli, which run .5 size small for me, so 10 N.

You have a great, personal style. Interesting lines and details.

I imagine that some of your outfits, in particular those without a topper, like #2, #4 and #7, would benefit from adding an artsy-looking accessory like a handcrafted necklace or brooch or a colourful scarf or shawl.

I am in the exact same boat as you - our students (college) are coming back this Monday as well and I have been in lots of meetings recently. Love ALL of your outfits!

I particularly love the way you style with your denim jackets. I would also be interested in seeing what the pairing of the sweater in #1 with the dresses might look like as alternate.
I think all your outfits say relatable but commanding attention/ authority.

I like all your outfits. My favorites are 1 and 7. The colour of the dress in 7 is gorgeous and the drapey cardi in 1 is lovely with that lighter print top under it :).

These are all dynamite. I like your streamlined style. You do look professional, and these outfits look like they can carry you through your long days with great style. I started to try to pick favorites, but it was futile. Kept wanting to add "just one more" to the list!
