Angie, the skirt is woven alas. It is actually a straight, even slightly a-line style but not a-line enough for my thighs! It’s always my problem area. It’s not uncomfortable but I’m used to more ease in my clothing. I don’t think I’ll do anything about it this year. Just wait and see how it’s fitting next year.
RobinF, that’s good to know, thank you. It has a side zip which may complicate things
Nikki, the colours in that picture are beautiful. I do that too, keep arty photos for inspiration. It helps me to keep on track.
SarahD8, yes, I like that kind of juxtaposition of old world with modern. The geometric bag has turned into a workhorse.
FC, I’ve always thought we have some commonality in style, even though I think you are far more original and avant garde. It’s the colours! I too am always drawn to muted, shadowy palettes.
Sal, I think you could wear these colours, if you are drawn to them. They go well with rust and camel tones, which I know you do wear.
KG, slim cat, MsMaven and Kate, I’ve been looking for a jacket like this for ages. I waited for the sale and jumped. It sold out instantly. I’m so glad I got it. But the lesson for the future is maybe don’t wait for a sale when you spot something you really love.
And thanks Lana, Helena, Suz, JAileen, minaminu, RC, MJ, Irina, ChristelJ and CarolS!
