WiW: Matching T-Shirts for Couples

Valentine's coming and it remind me of an interesting fashion trend which is very popular in Asian countries such as Korea, Japan, China...and my
country – Viet Nam. When two people fall in love with each other, usually you want to show the world how much you love each other. They hang out all day, walk together, eat together and travel together. There is no end. In Viet Nam, we choose a simple but unique way to show off our love by wearing matching shirts (mainly T-Shirts) AKA "Ao thun cap" (Source: http://canifa.com/cach-mac-dep-ao-thun-cap). "Ao thun" means T-Shirts and "Cap" means "Couples". So "Ao thun cap" means T-Shirts for couples to wear.

I and my girlfriend usually wear matching T-Shirts when we're together at weekend. The T-Shirts are designed with the same color, cute logos and slogans to signal our love.

I'm looking forward to an unforgettable 2015 Valentine. Obviously, i and
my darling will wear matching T-Shirts and celebrate our love together. It's meaningful!

Here in the middle of the U.S. I see the couples tee shirts most often on old married couples with grey hair. Men and women also wear the same shirt to support a favorite sports team, but not to show love for each other. Sometimes a whole family on vacation all wear the same style tee shirt, but that is a help in keeping track of each other in a crowd, like Disney World.

Thanks for replying my thread. You're right. It makes the differences between fashion in EU/US and Asia. In Asian countries, young couples love wearing couple T-Shirts whenever they're together to signal their love. They're influenced by the actors and actress from Korean and Japanese movies. I find it very cute to wear like this.

Never heard of this, it is interesting.

When I think of matching clothing, I think of things for young girls. Or, mothers and daughters. I would not wear a matching t shirt with my boyfriend but then again I am older.
