You look fantastic, I love the white shooties.
Our weather here in upstate NY is just as nuts. One day 90, the next day mid 50’s. Crazy, and hard to know how to dress.

I love everything about this combo, wear it on repeat girlfriend ! YLF!!

This looks fantastic Lisa, I'm glad you got the shooties out to play. Although I'm not glad it was cool enough to want to put your toes away We had a cool day yesterday too, but back to high 20's today. Summer is just soooo short!

Re a white top... given "my" white is optic white, I struggle a bit in winter as well, but I look dead in cream or off-whites, so struggle it is. I look for texture, and heft. I definitely have thin white sweaters that read spring, but I also have some that are thicker, cabled, etc that I feel are okay for fall. I like tee Deborah posted.

You look great! I won’t do white footwear myself, so I have no useful advice for you in that regard. However, the shoes look terrific, and I can see how a great white top will help them be more workable. I am always on the lookout for white tops but it’s a challenge — so many are too thin, too clingy, or not great quality. And then invariably they get stained... Sometimes it seems something with a pattern including white can work better for me.

Great outfit! Love the booties with those jeans, they work perfectly together. And I love the poncho.

And now I want a sherpa sweatshirt...

This is so good, Lisa, from head to toe. And those shooties really are amazing. I hope you get some more wear out of them before the weather turns.

Thank you all, for ideas and words of support for this new-to-me look! Deborah - I love this white t! What brand is it?

Regarding the white top comment of mine - I would like a white layering piece and/or something more substantial to wear with these boots for the next month or two. I cannot see wearing them into winter: for one, they are too low cut to function in snow.

I saw a young woman wearing great little white boots with black skinny jeans and a camo print jacket - the white boots bookending her very blonde hair. Great look, and I intend to copy it !

Oh and the weather here? It seems to have cooled down rather dramatically this week, which I don't mind at all. But this wrap isn't a sweatery thing - and I was wearing a very thin t-shirt underneath. Still August after all I don't envy my Southern US friends their 100F weather at all - not sure how you stand it .

It was only 98 yesterday.

So Sharp! And of course I want those jeans! I’m off the find them and covet, probably from afar. So keep wearing them for me!

Hi Lisa, the top I shared is Australian brand Shortlist (@shortlistshop on Instagram) and I just came across another by Motto last night and thought it was very you (and tme lol) so Im adding a pic for you xx

Brr! But you look very elegant! Agreeing that a print with white would bookend the shoes nicely too (ahem McQueen)

Yes! Can't wait to break out the scarves

Love this look on you, Lisa! Such a nice mix of hard and soft. Very you, I think, maybe?

Lisa - just wanted to chime in tonsay you look spectacular. Great jeans! Love the white footwear w them. Very special and super elegant. You wear gray so well, it loves you. The wrap and bag are brilliant together. I love the first tee that Deborah posted, simple but the angles and drape make it look very special. I could really see you in that. It’s like the Joie armelio sweater, that was so popular for good reason, in tee form.

Lisa, you look spectacular in this outfit - elegant, relaxed and edgy! Especially love your hair, earrings and make up. So polished!
As for a layering white top - I would try long sleeve knit top with some detail - either asymmetric hem or a twisted or draped cut, to keep it interesting and different from just a plain white tee.
Here is an example I found from All Saints:

Fabric looks a bit thin maybe but their quality is usually good. Have a top which is almost 10 years old and still looks like new.

I love that wrap on you. That is all.

I've not seen you in a wrap before and I really love it. Does it get in the way/become too fussy when you are getting in and out of the car for work?

Of course I had not thought I'd extending the warm/cool combo to make up! How genius!! And so flattering on you. This is a true Lisa outfit:)

I wear wraps quite often in early fall and as long as I can into the season. I don't find the fussy at all, as I pick ones that have good heft and aren't too slippery or soft and wrinkly. I often take it off when I get into the car too. I just find them so , so useful and great for changes in temperature etc. I'm wearing another one today in fact - a dirty pink/mauve and rust combo from Lululemon in a flat knit - over a rusty print silk blouse , black trousers and cream boots.

I have the same shoe! Love it. So comfy. I wear them all winter long (with knee highs for a bit of warmth) - a lot! I have some red ponte knit crops (Boden) that I wear them with quite a bit (for example, with a pink sweater and white blouse untucked underneath).

Yes, they felt a little bold at first. But, not now . . .

Your outfit looks terrific!
