I’m super excited about these Madewell jeans and wanted to share them here after seeing yesterday’s blog post about full-length bootcuts. The wash caught my eye (faded black denim is pretty much the only denim I wear these days) and the style seemed to be everything I was looking for — high rise, sturdy denim, just-right inseam. A lot of reviews suggested going down one size, and I’m glad I did (although TBH I almost always need to go down a size with Madewell bottoms anyway). These are a truly high rise, and I love that they aren’t clingy on the hips or upper legs. I’m only moderately curvy (25/36” waist/hip), so truly curvy folks might still want alterations on these. Very happy with the inseam and the width of the flare too. Worn with my trusty Thursday boots and Elizabeth Suzann tank top. Had a jacket on earlier, but now it’s sunny and 70°F (!!).
Front and side view — tried to crank up the exposure to give a better idea of the wash. Madewell’s website seems to be down; I’ll see if I can add a Find later.
These are taking the place of a pair of cropped black bootcuts I found I wasn’t reaching for at all and consigned last month. I’m feeling quite over cropped/ankle pants this year — anyone else notice a similar shift?
